They refuse to turn from their wicked ways...even if they confess their sin of adultery...if they continue to live with their second spouse...they continue to live in sin...

I do not believe this..but, how can you say 1 Corinthians applies to gays and not to the divorced and remarried..you can't have it both ways folks.

Why does everyone try to justify divorce, when the Bible is very specific...regardless of when you become a Christian if you remarry after divorce, you are living in sin...that looks like what the Bible says...

You probably shouldn't try to justify your sinful ways...repent, go back to your first wife...make things right...more than likely during the first marriage you took an oath before God and your friends to love that person forever...til death do you part....!

Divorce is not a sin. Divorce is a legal proceeding that ends a civil marriage. Divorce has ne effect upon a sacramental marriage. A civil marriage is merely a social contract. Contracts can be broken. A sacramental marriage is a covenant. Covenants cannot be broken or ended by a legal proceeding. If a person has a valid, sacramental marriage, divorces and then remarries, that person is committing the sin of adultery. If a person divorces and wished to remarry, then the first marriage must be declared invalid because it was lacking something that would make it a sacramwental marriage. This is called an annulment. A person who divorces, but does not remarry and does not have sexual relations is not in sin and can participate fully in the life of the Catholic Church. The may receive Communion and participate in any ministry in the Church.

You chose a touchy subject!

Let me try to answer your question, if you are married to a wife beater or an adulterer and the love in the marriage has died, then you are not harming anyone if you divorce.

Which is the greater sin, to remain married and commit adultery or to be honest and start afresh?

Or stay in a marriage where you are being abused, thats just nonsensical, I dont think God punishes people for escaping from hardship or oppression.

If you take into consideration that the Bible was a concoction of translations from Greek and Hebrew with a little pinch of Philosophy and Poetry thrown in, then you would realise that you have to understand the whole picture before making such a drastic conclusion.

Follow what your heart tells you, and 9 times out of 10 you will have made the right decision.

Concerning the Gay Question, I hardly dare, but anyway.

God created Adam & Eve,
Not Adam & Adam
or Eve & Eve.

Any Help?

I think you should study more, Gays & Remarriages are 2 differnt subjects, are you looking for someone to tickle your ears with fancy words & agree with you, sorry, There is many scriptures, I can use concerning Marriage, I will not look them up, Because I have answer this before, You do some studying, Paul say that if a man or woman have a unbelieving spouse, & they leave you, then that innocent person is not under bondage , Under bondage to what? Their Mrriage vows, They(The innocent one) is free to marry again, but only in the Lord, or to A Christian, Now if you want to bring up someone that is not innocent, & they are leaving their spouse for someone else, yes they are living in adultery, But listern Adultery is not the unpardonable sin & neither is homosexuals, If they are homo, or if someone left their spouse for someone else, they did not commit the unpardonable sin. God will forgive them & No God will not require the man & wife to divorce each other & go back to their former spouse, why, because that will cause more confussion, & God is not the author of confussion, The way you put it, if that innocent person is already remarried, then her or his ex's gets saved that they would have to again break up a marriage, to be re-united. The same with Homo's They can be saved, But they will stop their gay lifesytle, The same as the adultress. they will also stop their adultry by not getting another divorce, & doing the very samething over. Your way of thinking is the way the Church of God of Prophecy teaches. That in order to be saved, if you are a divorcee, to divorce your present wife, & make your ex remarry you & she herself may have already remarry, because he or she was free to marry again seeing they were the innocent person.

You can remarry only if the divorce was on the grounds of adultery or if after the divorce your spouse commits fornication because that would make the divorce valid. Fornication or adultery are the only reason for divorce. If you commit adultery it is better to try to work it out with your spouse and fix the first marriage but if the offender is unrepentant then divorce can be an option.

The bible says that you can only leave your spouse if they die, or if they commit adultery. If you divorce on terms that your spouse cheated on you, your fine to remarry, because it wasn't your fault. However, you are correct in saying that people that divorce because of any other reason are committing a sin IF they remarry. It's not the divorce that's a sin, it's the remarrying part. So as far as it goes for me, it does apply to everyone.

the most important point is that God forgives sin

It just happens in life that people get married and it doesn't work as expected or not at all. Nobody is free from sin, and nobody can ever life a life free of sin, only Jesus could.

Repent and be forgiven and change your ways, that means accept Christ as your saviour, establish a relationship with him and try to imitate Jesus in your life as much as possible.

You do not live in sin by being remarried or divorced, you commit sins by doing the wrong things in life, but there is no perpetual unforgiven state of sin through divorce or remarriage.

Adultery and death, according to the Book ends the marriage. U then free to seek second wife. All very man made and if u let uself just think for yourself for a change u will realise that its all very small in the scheme of things. Be kind to others and tread softly. . .please. and leave all the other rubbish to the religious leaders who make their living from doctrine.

Of course! And the second time they die they go to hell... If they are bornt again and do it good then ....go to heaven and there, the couple, live happily ever after, if not they´ll go to hell again and will have to be bornt to try it back and forth.....until they get it. During all these process as you can notice they can commit adultery again and again, if they wanna do it.... then.... the only thing they have to do is to make the mistake - It´s easy!!

If your first marriage was truly a Vlad union then you would be committing adultery by re-marrying.

I would apply for an annulment from the first wife.

Peace!

Jesus condones divorce ON ONE CONDITION... fornication.

Bar none... the bible says that if you divorce and remarry, you commit adultry, but you can be forgiven for it if you repent and ask God to forgive you.
