Just let him be. I know you want what's best for your father, but older people tend to be set in their ways and stubborn about changing their lifestyles. If he wants to exercise, he will. Otherwise, nobody else can really change his mind for him.

I hope you mean 90+ KILOS, not pounds. My father is 84 years old, 92 kilos, does not exercise, and is in better shape than I am, even though I am in near perfect condition. If you want him to exercise, try a reverse approach, "Dad, I'm going out for a walk. Would you like to go with me?" or "Dad I can't seem to dig the garden right, can you show me how?" Get it?
