my 2 nearly 3 and 4 yr old love drawing, sticking even though they make a right mess and takes me more time clearing away than they actually do it for.ive brought some magnetic letters, numbers and a chalk board recently and sem to enjoy thes and also jolly phonic cards all from early learning quite cheap.the other thing they like doing is pretend cooking with play food and the plates etc spend moe time doing this than anything else.to be honest kids at 3 have very little concentration span so tv always sems to be a good thing mine like education aswell as dora, bob etc.maybe buy her a gold fish and lt her pay interest in feeding or growing or potting flowers another messy but enjoyable thing.what about getting a sand pit if the weather picks up.ive got 6 and so its going to be fun for me..lol.xx

Arts & Craft activities always go down well. Cardboard models, collage, painting, clay etc.

Painting hard boiled eggs is a good easter activity, or making a bunny collage with fur and material. Making easter nests out of crushed shredded wheat and chocolate (like cornflake cakes) with mini eggs is fun and yummy too!

Easter time is a good time to learn about baby animals, you can get lots of books from the library, or have a look for some kids videos on farmyard animals.

Spring time is also a nice time to talk about growing things, maybe look in to growing some cress? At that age they usually love watching the cress grow - checking it every day. Place compost in each egg cavity in an egg box (fill to about 3/4 full) and sow 10 seeds in the each cavity and cover with a thin layer of compost.

My daughter just turned three and we do lots of stuff together. One of her favorite things to do, is to help me cook and do the dishes lol. Whenever she helps me cook, I let her help me stir the food, measure, and pour. For the dishes, I give her a spongue and a couple of dishes that she could wash herself. Other things that we do, are read books, sing songs, color, play with play dough, watch movies, play with toys, and we also get one of those white boards so that we can practice her name and shapes. There are lots of things that you can do with her, you just have to get past the age barrier. A small child can do just about anything, it's you that has to set the boundries whenever you're doing certain things, like cooking. I would never allow my child to use a knife or something that would harm her, I am in control. Plus, you give them a sense of being grown up and helping mom out with certain things. And you will be able to get things done and she thinks its fun.

Clean off the kitchen table and spray a puff of shaving cream on it and let her have at it! Doesn't make a mess at all - it will eventually disappear.

Get White Paper and crayons or markers and let her sit at the table with you and make pictures.

Two Final Words:

BARNEY VIDEOS.

lol - Good Luck!
