Ginger can help to calm your stomach, so ginger ale and gingersnaps are good to have handy. Soft bland foods like toast, scrambled eggs, jello, whatever your body can handle.

Immodium when you need it, ibuprophen/tylenol if you have a fever. Plenty, tons, lots and lots and lots of liquids -- don't stop taking in fluid! Otherwise, rest, eat when you can, drink everything you can get your hands on.

I agree with just about everybody here. Sip clear liquids. It will help flush the "bug" out of your system. Broth, tea without caffeine, gatorade, diluted juice. Just have a little at a time, so you don't puke it all up, and your body stays hydrated. One of those stomach viruses went through our entire family a couple of months ago. My son kept sipping fluids and was back in school within 2 days.

With a stomach virus....nausia, diarehea, vomiting....all you can do really is bedrest...drink lots of fluids (not milk or pop) so you don't dehydrate....take tylonol for fever if you have one, eat crackers, soup, popsicles, toast with a lil bit of jam to get sugar into your body......REST REST REST* in a couple of days it should pass.
In Canada - you can take gravol for the nausia....and immodium to stop the diareaha.....
Always wash your hands with soap and hot water to rid the germs.
Hope you feel better soon*

As well as the Imodium, which usually works very well, you might find that eating plain unsweetened yogurt helps settle the stomach (it actually rebalances the intestinal flora somewhat) and is generally soothing.

not much you can do but let it run its course.

A clear liquid diet(chicken/beef broth, jello etc), drink plenty of water/Gatorade etc., and get plenty of rest. Imodium helps to stop the diarrhea but if its the same bug I had expect lots of stomach cramping and gas pain afterward.

I'm just getting over my bug and it was horrible. I know 10+ people who got it most of them nurses including my spouse.

drink plenty of cooled boiled water and try to go without food for 24 hours. if you do feel hungry have a slice of toast or a couple of plain biscuits.

Imodium - and plenty of liquids. Stay home where you won't spread the funk.
