I have DL from FL, can i buy a car in different state and than register in Fl or can i register it in same state. Thanks

I believe you may do it either way. The plate is based on your state of residency.

If you buy a vehicle out of state the seller provides a 30 day temporary tag so that you can return to FL.

If you plan on living in the seller state you can get permanent plates from that particular state.

If you keep your present car in FL you can get different FL plates for your car purchased out of state.

You can get vanity plates from FL that may contain any catch phrase you want if that name or phrase has not been used.This type of plate requires an added surcharge each year you own the plate.

you can buy in any state....register in your state or where u buy it... Most states u must register in 30 days of living there
