The other night my leg started itching so I scratched it, REALLY HARD! The next morning I woke up and there was a bruise on my leg. I know it was self inflicted, I've done it many times before. Has anyone else done this?
And it's not like a big bruise... it's a lot of tiny bruises in one area. looks like a rash, but it's flush to my skin~ and it's not a rash! What is it?!?!

I've tried anti-itch stuff... it's not like I'm scratching it very hard!
Soemtimes when I go for long walks my legs start itching like they are on fire! When I sit down for a minute it goes away!

and no, i'm not allergic to anything... but it feels like what i think an allergic reaction would feel like.
Me scratching my leg really hard was an isolated incident... most of the time I can just scratch it and there will be lines of bruises on my legs

Yep, I've done that many times. You just bruised yourself. Try moisturizing your skin. You also may be allergic to something that is making you itch. A new laundry detergent or fabric softener. New bath soap maybe. Next time you itch like that wash the area with some warm water and apply lotion. Are you taking anything to cause your blood to thin, like aspirin or black cohosh. Blood thinners will cause easy bruising. Are you dieting? Maybe your in need of some vitamins.

Maybe you have a blood circulation problem. That could cause the itch and possibly the easy bruising, too. I think you should go to the doctor and see what he/she says. You might just bruise easily due to being anemic. You might need an iron supplement. Only a doctor can tell for sure.

Yes, I had psoriasis and I used to scratch so hard that the skin of the legs is covered with a number of red spots and they burn when you wash. Luckily I got cured without using medicines but by prayer and using sacred ash that I got from a Sai temple (I am Hindu).

I'm also gonna watch this question because that happens to me all the time. Yesterday I found a bunch of bug bites on my left shoulder, so I was scratching them and now it looks all black with red bumps sticking up...

you are rubbing your skin to hard and bruising your self. next time your skin itches try putting a itch cream on it instead of scratching.
