It just seems to me that people generally will not learn a lesson or have remorce for sin. They just keep going like it out of there control. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Sin is from temptation from satan, but ultimately our own free will to choose to sin... satan doesnt 'control' us... he just tempts us.... sin breeds more sin... it is a spiral of discontent in our lives...

1 John 5:19 "We know that we originate with God, but the whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one."
Satan is the reason sin is here and he has been at it long enough he knows the tricks to get even the most faithful of people to do wrong. But it is free will that lets people choose to sin. The abundance of sin and lack of remorse is also the influence of Satan and the attitude that "if they do it why shouldn't I follow" or "it's all about me and what makes ME feel good". Many people don't take into consideration that they hurt God in the process because he isn't real enough to them and they don't realize that his feelings are deeper than ours.

Free will. If it was Satan, we would have no responsibility for our own actions, we could just blame it all on Satan. Not everyone does learn from sins but we all have to remember that it's not easy to be any one of us. A lot of people try and fail and what seems like a sin to me and you may not be to someone else. I mean that we all grow up with different moral codes and values and some minor things may not be sinning to someone else. It doesn't make it right or wrong, just a difference in opinion. Not to be confused with total morally wrong issues like murder, rape, assault, these things are always wrong and most people will agree with me on this.

I think it is often a combonation of both. I think sometimes people are sinning and not realizing it - really - but once you know, in your mind and your heart that you are sinning, if you continue from that point on - that is completely free will.

This is a hard question! I'm not really sure what the answer is! But I do agree, that oftentimes people do not learn a lesson nor do they have remorse for their sins. But I try not to worry too much about other's sins, as I have my own issues to deal with between me and God and their issues will be dealt with by God as well.

Well I don't believe in Satan, so I given your choice I'd have to say free will. I also don't believe in "sin". I'm not out of control though. I don't murder, rape, or steal from people. I don't commit adultery either. Overall I'm a pretty good person, so I don't think that Satan or sin has anything to do with it. It's all on the specific person.

Bottom line: Free Will.
Satan may create the opportunity that serves as a temptation, but ultimately we must choose for ourselves to do what is right or wrong.
Think about Adam and Eve: Could Eve have not refused to eat the forbidden fruit, especially since there was an abundance of trees in the Garden of Eden available? Even after that, could Adam have not refused to join his wife?
We all choose either right or wrong, and that is why God holds us accountable.

Well for most part free will. Nothing looks like a sin no more. The world has made sin look like its just part of life. So to most people if the world is doing it then its ok for me to do it. The world has no morals no more.

I think it's both. Your free will allows you to give in to the temptations of sin offered by Satan. The best remedy is to "pray without ceasing". And keep out of tempting situations. (easier said than done)

While Satan is called the "tempter" and he tries to deceive people to get them to not trust God and to commit sins, he doesn't have the power to "make" people sin. Instead we read this passage.

James 1:13 Let no one say when he is tempted, "I am being tempted by God," for God cannot be tempted with evil, and he himself tempts no one. 14 But each person is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desire. 15 Then desire when it has conceived gives birth to sin, and sin when it is fully grown brings forth death.

So while Satan may play a part in leading someone into sin, in the end it's up to each person to choose whom they are going to follow, God or Satan, their flesh or the Spirit of God.

Galatians 5:17 For the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh, for these are opposed to each other, to keep you from doing the things you want to do. 18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.

19 Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, 20 idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, 21 envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.

When a person sin it is a choice. Of course, satan will tempt a person to do wrong and they must, must make a decision to choose right or wrong. If wrong than suffer the consequences.

We have to know that no one or nothing created can force us to sin, it is always a free will choice to do so,many like to place the blame on others instead of admitting their fault and even the Devil has no power to make us sin and offend God.
