I caught my girlfriend cheating on me, and now it is over. Will a casual fling or two make me feel better or worse?

Were you into casual sex before you were in a relationship? If so, you might just move back into a lifestyle you were comfortable with.
If not, you are now into some new and unfamiliar. Some people find new things exhilarating, but others find it very unsettling.
Since you have a lot going on in your head you might be overwhelmed by a new lifestyle of casual hook-ups, but if you've done it before, it might be just the thing for you.

Your girlfriend obviously went out and had a casual fling or two of her own to cause your relationship to be over.

Your asking if you do the same, will it make you feel better or worse? How did her flings make her feel? Any better or worse? She lost you over it, didnt she?

Do two wrongs make a right? (Even if you are single)

Youre a good looking guy why dont you use some intelligence and better yourself by improving yourself with work, finance, fitness etc and see if you can find Ms Right instead of an STD passed on by your casual flings.

Cheers

Poor guy! I'm sorry to hear that hun. Women can be b*tches. I've been there, I know how you feel! If it helps, you're a hot looking guy, so you won't have any trouble finding someone better than her!

I think you won't know until you try it. It depends what kind of guy you are. You might find that another woman reminds you of your ex and you might miss the things you did together. On the other hand, it might make you realise what else is on offer.

As long as you're careful, sensible (you're a big boy, I'm sure I don't need to lecture you about safe sex, lol!) and you make sure that you and your 'fling' woman are both on the same page and you're not leading anyone on.... you could give it a shot!

As long as you don't start thinking that all women are the same as your ex and therefore treating them like sex objects, which can often happen, then it's fine. My ex had a girlfriend that cheated on him once. It broke his heart. After that, he cheated on every other girlfriend he had, including me, because he felt that all women were the same. Don't let that happen to you - some of us are good girls :-) (myself included!)

Have fun and enjoy whatever happens :-)

xx Emmie

Two wrongs usually do make a right, so if one casual fling by your girlfriend made you feel worse, you will probably feel better is she has another one. Good luck!

Casual flings tend to have an increased risk of STD's. That might make you feel worse...

You'll probably feel better in the short term. However, the fact that you are questioning this suggests your conscience will kick in and you'll feel guilty down the road for having a fling for the wrong reason.

that is not always the best way to go. It usually makes you feel worse. You can start thinking about your girlfriend and how she hurt you and then you feel worse about yourself. But some people feel like it is a payback and makes them feel better. Its something you have to decide for yourself since you know yourself better than anyone else.
