my friend is quite pretty and this 1 day this other guy kept on looking at her and smiling he was continuosly staring at her and when she looked at him they would keep eye contact until she looked away.. but after that day the guy hardly looks at her (he looks at her sometimes) my friend thinks he likes her but i dont think so.. do you think he likes her??!!?? how can i tell her if you think that he doesnt like her that he dont like her ?

You can't just call a one day long stare love at first sight. Just because he stares and smiles at her for 1 day doesn't necessarily mean that he like her. Look at the situation for another couple of days whether he's really interested in her or not.

Smiles and glances can mean nothing except "I'm being friendly" The only way to tell is to hear it from his mouth.

He probably thought for ten seconds, "Oh, that's a pretty girl."
I've liked guys for ten seconds before then forget their face the next day...
He most likely can't remember who he was hitting on, so no, he doesn't like her...anymore.

Maybe he's trying to play her and get her to make the first move.
But yeah - there is a distinct possibility that he just doesn't like her.

it is easy ... you can take her and going to somewhere this guy going to it always and notice every look , every breath and when you will be assure that he doesnt care , ask him honestly ,,are you like him because he just looked at you once or twice ,, or you like him because he already contact with her even simple contact ,,,, and then tell her your advise ,, thanks

you should mind your business...
but if he talks to her than yea he likes her.
he might just like her pretty face. or the style of clothes she wears.
