What, in the Bible, helps you to feel the spirit of God? Is there a specific verse or book that particularly helps you?

I like the first part of Proverbs 24:16 a lot. It states: "For the righteous one may fall even seven times, and he will certainly get up." and also Phillipians 4:19 "In turn, my God will fully supply all YOUR need to the extent of his riches in glory by means of Christ Jesus."

Gives me strength to know that even if I fall short of the requirements by God, he'll give me the strengh needed to get up and keep enduring.

Because we are studying the Bible this year (and last year) I'm noticing more and more verses that I knew were "in there somewhere" but I never knew exactly where.

I guess right now my favorite verse is in Romans 14 where it says that we shouldn't do something if it is against the beliefs of what those we are around believe. I'm paraphrasing, but it's toward the beginning of the chapter.

Matthew 16:27 stands out for me wherein its says, "For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works."

This says a mouthful in contrast to those Christians professing that only the grace of Jesus Christ and the faith in Him grants salvation. Faith in the Lord does grant salvation through the resurrection, but works done by the individual will take him or her higher into the kingdoms toward exaltation.

Added note: I must include Isaiah 29: 11-12 wherein it prophesies Professor Anthon's response to Martin Harris when shown Reformed Egyptian characters from the Book of Mormon.

There's not a specific verse that helps me, it just feels good to read scripture. It probably depends on how I'm feeling at the time.

In the Bible, my favorite verse is:
Isaiah 12:2
2 Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation.

I love that, it speaks volumes to me. There is so much information and promise.

I gave you a star!! I don't really have a favorite verse, I just keep collecting good ones!! I really like Matthew 23, where Christ is rebuking the leaders. It's pretty good to listen to Christ calling them hypocrites!! He puts them in their place, and doesn't really care what they think of Him. It would be great to have that kind of confidence.

I like the part with the talking donkey or when Lot has sex with his daughters after getting drunk and his wife being zapped into a pillar of salt for the offense of looking at the pyrotechnics of Sodom getting blown up. That is always inspiring.

I like this verse from the Old Testament. It has always proved direction, trust inthe Lord, and reassurance that he is there with me.
Proverbs 3:5-6
"Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. "
