If you are the service member you have to move out of where you are living with your spouse, no exceptions...either into the barracks or if you will have Joint Custody of any children you would be allowed to live off post...you still have to take care of your spouse until the divorce is final...oh yea do not get caught with another person during this time, even though you are separated, you are still married and they can get you for Adultery...

US Army regulation states during the divorce you are solely required to pay the spouse BAH until te divorce is final

There are probably different circumstances depending on the member, the best thing to do is ask your Admin section, or your Adjutant, they would be the ones who would know.

check with local state laws. Some states require you to live in separate domiciles for one year or more before being considered for divorce.
