Some of us don't want to hear it anymore, no matter how right they think they are or their religion is. Enough is enough.

Because they have nothing better to do. Christianity is a delusion of granduer. It is a fallacy that plays on people's faith. Whats the worst is that so many people in this society don teven become religious until something tragic and out of their control happens.

Then you are in the wrong place. On this forum we can express or explain whatever views we have on any subject relating to religion or spirituality. The question you just asked will get some responses from the Christian community.

We feel obligated that everyone has the information in front of themselves to make a proper decision. That does not mean you have to make any decision, but we do not want you to make the wrong one due to lack of knowledge.

We believe Jesus is the only way to heaven, and that the alternative to heaven is hell. There is no pleasure world outside of heaven and hell. It is one or the other.

To some I am sure it is comforting to believe that when we die we do not experience anything else because we are gone.

However you are at odds with most of the major religions of the world. They all believe in a heaven and/or hell, or reincarnation, or some afterlife where you are judged by what you have done in your previous life, or you have the opportunity in reincarnation to live it over and over until you have it right.

I wonder if teaching evolution in the public schools is forcing a belief system on others.

Most Christians I've met don't impose. There seems to be a large number of especially imposing ones on the internet. Seems to be a similar number of evangelical atheists on the internet, too. Seems that the internet breaks down social boundaries that most people wouldn't normally invade.

Luckily, on the internet, you can just stop reading.

If you're dealing with non-internet invaders, I'm very sorry. An invitation to join you as you sacrifice your goat usually shuts them up, though. Works on everyone with an attitude!

Christian's and non-Christian's alike should just get used to hearing the other side's story. Neither has to take the advice of the other. Stay with what you believe if you want but do hear out the opposite side.

Are you talking about our values or our doctrine. I display my values all the time. I treat others with as much respect as I can muster and do everything I can to help others and do them favours even if it means putting myself out. I do charge a fee for favours of course ... a head of lettuce is the basic fee but if its a really big favour, I expect a bottle of Heinz salad cream to be included too.

I told one newby at work and she couldn't stop laughing for about ten minutes, she thought it was a joke until another colleague convinced her it was true.

As for my doctrine. If you don't want to know, I won't tell you. Bible-bashing puts people off. However, if I'm asked a question, I take it as a green light and if I hear people saying that Christians are stupid, gullible morons, I put them straight.

Most people who know me, have enough respect for me that they don't insult my beliefs and I have enough respect for them to let them air their views without going into evangelist mode.

I was very impressed last week. One of my male colleagues got a shock and came out with a very loud "Christ Almighty!. He looked at me and apologised. It hadn't offended me but I thanked him anyway, he was showing me respect.

Thats not going to happen - 85% of Americans are religious. Maybe try moving to Canada before Bush builds a wall to keep youse from getting away.

The way I look at it is that everyone will try to impose their views on everyone else - it's just human nature, and I do it just as much as the next man. If I disagree with someone else's views then I will try to make sure what I think is right is what prevails, and what they think is right does not. That's the way the world works.

Some christian values are very decent and morally right in a way. But most christians themselves cant understand why we dont want them forced on us.
I dont need to believe in deity to be a good person.

Because they don't get it. Its like a child that says "Are we there yet?" over and over and over and over again. An child doesn't get it. An adult learns to just suck it up and deal.
