How can we solve out Electricity Problem during summer seasons ?

India's Politicians and Government officials who work in the different Departments and other institutions are so callous and corrupt that even if we have THE BEST RESOURCES (WHICH IN FACT WE DO HAVE) NOTHING WOULD BE DONE TO UTILIZE THESE TOWARD OVERCOMING THE PROBLEMS HAUNTING US FROM THE TIME OF INDEPENDENCE.

Consider this: In an article published in the Magazine: DOWN TO EARTH, MARCH 15, 2007: PANDORA'S GARBAGE CAN... it is pointed out that India's urban solid wastes are of the order of 120, 000 Tons per day. On the basis of the different materials classifications, this writer has estimated the following resource potentials in these "wastes":

# Reclaimable water @ 80% recoverability ..... 37.4 million L/ Day
# Energy conversion @ 33 % efficiency .... 45.5 million KWH/ per day
# Additional recoverable resources ..... 22, 000 Tons per day

45.5 million KWHe per day is a huge energy, and not less than 10 million households could be served their daily power needs on this electricity! Similarly, if we use the Agrowastes in the different villages, India COULD PRODUCE POWER TO AN EXTENT OF NOT LESS THAN 300, 000 MWe.

But then, why are we not doing all these? This and many more such questions are to be answered by our Parliament. But Alas! Our parliamentarians do not have any time for these as they are involved in LIGHT-WEIGHT, MEDIUM-WEIGHT and HEAVY-WEIGHT FIGHTING IN OUR PARLIAMENT!!!

Increase the level of your air conditioner. If everyone does that just a few degrees it will save massive amounts of energy.

If you live in the west leave your windows open in at night and close them during the day. Also use blinds on south facing windows and close them when the sun is up. All of these things will reduces the temperature of your home so you don't eat up electricity trying to cool it.
