I had two cats that were brothers and they were totally different. One was the runt of the litter and one was older. The older one was lazy, fat and a big softy. The runt was always extremely slim and got out loads more than the fat one - and enjoyed bringing lots of presents from his hunting home!
The slim one is still going (even though I have left home) but the plump one has gone to kitty heaven shall we say.
Just because they are from the same litter it doesn't mean they will have the same father. Cats can have kittens from different fathers in the same litter which is why they can all come out so different.
If you are worried it's worms I'd go to your local pet store or vets and buy some worming tablets or drops. At worst you'll have wasted a few quid and at best you'll have peace of mind that kitty doesn't have worms.
One sign is that often they'll drag their bum on the floor and be washing it a lot in an attempt to stop any itching. If in doubt though take him to the vet - always better to be safe than sorry.

Some cats just have different appetites. Mine has the opposite problem of just being plain fat while his sister is just perfect. If your worried about worms just get some worming treatment from the vet either pills or stronghold spot on. Feed some extra food to the thinner cat separately to make sure he's getting his fair share and if your super worried or he doesn't make any progress after worming and extra feeding take him to the vet. Although if he is eating and pooping normally at the moment I wouldn't worry too much.

I also have 2 cats. The 1 that is skinny could have been little from birth and the fatter 1 could be big. If the other 1 isn't getting enough food try 2 bowls and watch them. Make sure the bigger one isn't taking over.

I have two cats both brothers, same age. 1 year olds. One is fatter than the other always asking for food (not getting it), mind you he sleeps more. The other is thinner, he is more active. I think though that they are completely different builds anyway. That's not much help I know but cats are different even when very closely related.

HI there, if your cat has worms..he would have a fat tummy and it would be hard.. even though he is eating lots.. you need to deworm him.... drontal works really well and it depends on his age.. and weight as to how much you give him.. you would also see the worms in his his stool if he had them... he may just be thin , because of his metabolism...... ... if you are concerned take him to the vet and get him checked for other kinds of diseases as well.. and i do believe your other cat could get worms as well.........

Always check with your vet when you feel something is wrong if not only to catch something early on. It's true your cats could have different make-ups but you didn't mention if the cat had a drastic weight reduction or vomiting. Those symptoms point to cancer.

i dont think of you will desire to rigidity any interplay between the two one among them. i propose you enable chris and nigel the two regulate. at last they wont be that way collectively and could in all risk become good kitty acquaintances! my oldest cat might sometimes hiss and beat the **** out of her approximately 7 month previous daughter, becuase the oldest one additionally had to conform with having a cat her length and gender in the living house. whether it didnt seem to worry her that her daughter replaced into there untill her daughter replaced into an entire grown cat. yet now, some months later, she doesnt do this throughout the time of any respect. and that they are purely high-quality.

The best way would be to take him to the vet to be checked out. That way, you can find out if there's anything physically wrong and put your mind at rest. They'll also be happy to advise you. You want to make sure you've done your best by him, the little mite.
