This isn't a very important question but I am just curious as to the answer.

When Jesus Christ lived, the Middle East was not the epicentre of the world then. The epicentre of the world at that time was India and China because these countries were the source of global commerce and innovation etc. The Middle Eastern and Medditeranean people did know that Indians and Chinese existed, because India and China traded with the Roman empire, Alexander, a few hundreds years before Christ, had attempted to conquer India and Cleopatra tried to send her children at the last minute to India to save their lives.

So why is any mention of China and India completely ommitted in the holy bible?

Most of the stories in the Bible are borrowed from Indian Mythology and put in distorted form. India and China were in existence much before the Hebrews wrote the Old Testament. There is no mention because they did not have any glimpse of the then India or China till pre-Socratic thinkers from Greece started coming to Indian universities for studies at Taxila, Ratnagiri, Puspagiri, Nalanda and Vaishali in the 6th century B.C. The Bible talks of only civilization in the Asian continent which were in existence during 2nd millennium B.C.

Indian civilization is more ancient than even the Chinese civilization since Laos and Confucius were only coevals of Buddha and Socrates; where as Buddha in India is at least 15,000 years after the Vedic period started. The Western scholars do not have the right attitude and an open mind to appreciate the Truth in history.

Because India and China were not involved with the events which took place in the Bible. Plain and simple. However, there is mention of some of the Apostles making their way towards Asia, and one can assume from that that they did perhaps visit China, and India, since India would have been considered Asia since it was and is in close proximity.
Keep in mind that borders were not the same 2000+ years ago as they are now. China was not considered a completely unified country until far after the fall of Rome, and we can assume from the omission of Chinese or Indian travelers in the Bible one of two things:
1. Not many travelers from those two countries made their way as far as Israel. It's possible that NONE made it that far.
OR
2. The travelers that DID make it to Israel weren't deemed as important.

i chanced on a information superhighway internet site that exhibits the passages in the Bible that supposedly seek advice from India are mistranslations. Neither China or India have been unified international locations in the process the time of the Bible. each and each consisted of small feudal kingdoms. India replaced into unified via the Mughal Empire (they have been Muslims) some years after the Quran replaced into written. China would have been unified via the time of the Quran. maximum scholars agree that Dhul-Qurnayn in Surah al-Kahf of the Quran refers to Alexander the large. there replaced into an previous legend that he outfitted a extensive wall on the "end of the earth" (assuming the earth replaced into flat). uncertain if that has something to do with China. i do no longer think of the two united states is pronounced in the two e book.

Christ has not written the Bible. The Old Testament was pre-existing Jesus Christ. The New bible carry his teachings and he wanted people to read the Old Bible also because he had brought out changes to what Moses had told.
India and China were there much before the things in Old Testament are said to have happened. Perhaps Jesus himself did not know much about India and China, then. After the fake Crucifixion, he fled to India and lived there for 60 years till his death. But he concealed his living during this period.

India, I cannot answer but China I can, China is the only people to still use pictorial writing, something that occured before the tower of Babel! Because the group of people left before the "alpha numerical " writing styles came in. they were not "tainted" by those styles hence if you are able find out the picture for boat & creation & man and you will find that the language of the chinese actually supports the Old testament! The reason for their Idols & so forth is because the people who crossed into the mountains around them bought them & passed them on.

Also are you so sure they are emmitted? because the names that the bible go on are not the names that we are familliar with!

You are right. How India and China got ommited in the Bible is somewhat surprising. India was the land of God. Jesus cam to India, studied unedr a Guru, did Tapsya and then went Back to motherland to preach the message of the God and organise people for non-violent methods to fight oppression. But bulk of the Bible was writen before he was born and none of his disciple did not know where he was during his missing years away from Middle east. Christ died before he could tell where he learnt the principles of love and sacrifice for others and how he became the son of God through meditation in the Himalayas.

The Old Testament deals with only a part of Asian civilization which were connected with the Semitic history. And that too is mingled with stories from Indian ancient stories. It was because, there was no need to mention. Jesus having come to India before Crucifixion and after escape there are lots of proof which will reveal the truth, provided it is researched dispassionately.

There's no mention of Spain or France too and they border Italy, infact, I'm not sure Italy is mentioned by name even though the Romans were mentioned lots and lots of times.

Britain isn't mentioned either and Britannia was certainly known by the Romans, I live about ten miles away from the Northern border of the Roman Empire. The Bible is a finite book and has only so much room. Not everything can be mentioned.

The Roman Empire was of the other day, as compared to cities and places mentioned in the Bible. India is in existence, much before Abraham was born.

Some say that Abraham itself is the distorted form of 'Brahma' and John is the distorted form of 'Janaka' in Sanskrit the most ancient of all languages in the world. Irrespective of ones religion, this aspect can be given a serious thought only to re establish the true history of the mankind.

At that time the boundaries of the present India were not the same. It contained hundred or thousands of tiny small kingdoms. The word India came into existence much after the Bible. Muslim & Christian rulers united, connected and joined all such tiny small kingdoms and made into Bharat Mata which was again partitioned into Pakistan (East & West) and India in 1947.
