I do Bikram yoga. The heat makes me more flexible to stretch more and push myself without injury. Plus its a great way to cleanse.

My suggestion, take one class of each and find yourself in one of them. The one that calls to you is the one you should commit to. Good luck

There is no Bikram or Thakram in Yoga Saastra. These Iyengar,Bikram all were/are cheating the Westerners as if they have invented this Science. This is one of the Hindu "Dharsanas"(Visualisations by six very great intellectuals many centuries before.Nyaayam-Vaiseshikam--Saankyam(visualised by Kapila Muni(Extinct)-enhanced by Eswara Krishna,Vigjnaana Bikshu(both Extant)--Padhanjali's Yoga Sutram(what you call Bikram/Thakram/Vakram etc)-Meemaamsam(Kumrila Bhatta,Mandana misra), Vedhaantham (by great teachers=GURU/Aacharya-Sankara-Ramanuja-Madwa).Padhanjali's Yoga Sutra contains eight (Ashta) Parts(Anga)=Ashtaanga--the eight parts are -Yamam,Niyamam,Praanaayaamam-Prayathyaakaram-Asanaas-Dhaarana and one I don't remember now and Finally Samaadhi. All of them are part of Hindu Philosophy.A knowledge of Saankyam is very essential to Understand Yoga.Kapila Muni and his followers do not beleive except the IndividuaSoul (Jiva Aathman) in the body, nothing else-Brahman or God (Paramaathman) does NOT exists.Padhanjali insists on Vedic concept of the existence of GOD(Paramaathman) and different kinds
YOGAS can help to Realise HIM.
In the postng Saankyam/Ramanuja/Madwa/ Prathyaakaaram/Dhaarana/Asanas are missing
