Hi,

I watched a TV programme recently about 'The Most hated family in America'. It was The Phelps family, who have their own church (Westboro Baptist Church) and pastor (who is their Grandfather), and they believe they are the only people going to Heaven, and that everyone else is going to Hell.
They protest on the streets carrying signs saying things like:
'God hates fags'
'Fags go to Hell'
'fag troops'
One of Princess Dianas face saying ' adulterous Whore burn in Hell'

amongst other ridiculous comments!

they groom their young kids to feel this way, and to hate America, hate troops, hate homosexuals, and anyone who associates with homosexuals.
They also hate Black people (and basically anyone who isnt a White, hetrosexual, married, God fearing Christian)
Their children have no friends as a result, b

Im sure these views must be extreme, and if anything promote hatred, and as such, surely, sucure their place in Hell rather than heaven.
What are peoples views?

xxxx

Their actions violate so many of Christ's commandments that I would think it unnecessary to point out that they are obviously not Christians.
"Christian" is a more than just a word, but it is a word and a word without a copyright, so anyone can apply it to their description. The same goes for "Baptist".
The Bible warns us of false prophets and snakes in our midst. There is a litmus test, though. If their actions are not supported by scripture, then they are false.
Hatred of their fellow man, even those who sin, is NOT supported by the teachings of Christ, therefore they are not true Christians.
To give them any more attention is to support their cause. They are pawns of Satan and feed on the discord that they cause and the attention that they receive. If shunned, they will be rendered powerless. The most effective weapon that can be brought against them is the Holy Gospel of Christ. Love will always conquer hatred.

Terrorism in the USA. I can't stand that group! I'm hoping that when that old man dies, they don't keep the funeral private. I would love to get a group of people together to go and protest at his funeral... with our own signs, complete with Biblical verses that show what hatred does to people. =) But, it'll be my luck, they won't even tell anyone he's dead till after they bury him. And if they're smart, they won't tell anyone Where he is buried either. But, I didn't get the impression these people were actually smart. =)
