No you don't. jesus there's loads to worry about in this life without worrying over nothing.
You should meet my mate Neal, he's always ill and moaning about some near death medical problem.

Before the expense of a 3rd opinion try brushing your tongue & swishing some hydrogen peroxide around your mouth for a minute or so. If it hurts less and/or seems better you might just have a case of thrush. Not common in adults but it does happen. If it's that just repeat the above a couple times a day & it'll go away. Some spices, too hot food, tongue not cleaned & various other things cause it. If it's that it's not serious. If that doesn't help then I would get another opinion.

Look you answered your own question, if the dentist and the doctor say it is nothing to worry about, why worry. Worry never made any thing better. Could it be an ulcer on your tongue, just calm down. If heaven forbid there was something realy wrong you have your dentist and your doctor.

My daughter used to have pink patches on her tongue what were quite sore especially when she ate acidic foods like pineapple. The doctor said it was called "Geographic Tongue" - look it up on Google and see if it looks like yours. It is not serious if that's what you have.

Use Hydrogen Peroxide as a mouth wash. It should heal up the problem and kill the pain.

This could be anything from dysplasia to cancer. If it doesnt go away in 2 weeks you should get a biopsy done preferably at a oral pathologist (dentist) or dental school because they focus on this kind of things.

You've wasted two professionals' time already. Do you really want to waste more? Take some painkillers and forget about it. Or go see a shrink.

Yes, get as many views as you can... doctors don't know everything! But you should seek for more help if it's real painful, just tell your doctor that it's still hurting a lot
