what kind of reactions do you most often get when your arms show, with any sleeve? Personally i think they are beautiful on woman or guy for that matter. but i would think it would be more visible and you would get diffrent reactions. At the moment i have the back of my right calf covered and will have a full back piece done. I really want to get something more than that tho on my left arm. So feed back would be wonderful!
P.S. I don't need to hear, "don't do it, it will look horrible when your 60." I know this, but i say you will look horrible when your 60 with or with out the ink, so why not! thanx

I just want to say thank you for answering my questions truthfully and with such postive answers! I guess i truely don't care what people think of my body work, i just like to be prepared. I will try to get a good picture up of my leg piece here pretty soon. Actually if you go to http://www.ratemyink.com/?action=ssp&pid=28481
Not the greatest picture, there will be more soon tho.

Not female, but I hope you'll excuse my input.
I'm completely & utterly biased in that I love them, only slightly less than back pieces (partial or full). I just worry that when I see someone with either that I'm staring & taken as rude.
My back piece goes to my left arm and I'll probably extend that to a 1/4 - 1/2 sleeve. It seems most artistic to me to keep two areas so close together on the same theme and effectively part of the same piece (even if part was started much earlier).
Wish we could see your art - now you have my curiosity up...
P.S. Inked people tend to see less sun, aging their skin slower. The one's looking horrible at 60 will more likely be those without tats.

Most people just want to look at my art I get stopped in the street in the summer by all kinds of people who want to look and ask questions. Some are other tattoo enthusiasts and others are just curious. I love my work, and plan on full sleeves in the next couple of years.
Occaisionally I'll get a guy who's intimidated by how many tats I have, but they're not really the kind of guys I'm into anyways.
PS Last tattoo convention I was at, I saw a 71 year old woman with full sleeves, she looked great, and I bet she's the coolest grandma ever!

I am female, and I have a half sleeve that continues up to my neck, and down to my ribs, front an back.
I get lots of reactions when I let even a little bit show, but so far it has just been a lot of curiousity and awe.
Do it for you. Don't worry about the reactions...people either like tattoos are hate them. As long as you love em, that's what matters.

I love sleeves on men or women but I personally wouldn't get one. I am too concerned about keeping them covered when I work as a teacher in the future, sleeves are a big step and extreamlly intriguing to me. When I see someone with a sleeve I have to look and I'm always in awe. I'm not so brave but if you are and you don't see it affeting anything in the future then go for it.

i have new school sleve tats with 8 ball , decks of playing cards , cartoon sculls and dices with different coloured stars
i love my tats and they look great but sadly i had problems getting my first job i had suffered full force of shallow minded tattoo haiteres i was told at interviews i basicly looked like a bank robber or criminal and ther for couldent be trusted
this hurt but didnt stop me im not violent or a criminal im a friendly guy on thew inside who has a lot of tats on the outside
other reactions are more positive like girls like my tats they question me on them like do they hurt or iv had girls come up to me at bars and just said wow nice tats i love the attention and these are the positive responses taistfull tats can bring
there are the reactions and sides of having big visible tattooes personally i love tattooes and think the people who negativly treat and judge tattooed people are shallow and not worth nowing . the positive side of tats are great and i have maid lots of new friends through tattooes which is great
show your tats with pride make the most of life you only live once

i think people are probably much more judgemental on a female with large visible tattoos. especially any type of sleeve. i personally love a well done sleeve. something that is cohesive and artfully done. IF i ever get one it will be after years of thought and contemplation. i wouldn't want just anything displayed for all the world to see.

I love the start of mine, and I can't wait to get them finished. Most of the reaction that I get is "let me see your tattoos.....ooohhhh...who did those? They are very cool!!" and if people don't like them, then I just don't pay any attention to their reactions.
