Hi there. I did 4 yrs of university. I learned that it was important to study for 40 min then take a short break. Get up and stretch or walk for a couple of minutes then restart. The brain can only focus so long and then needs a brief rest. Plan sleeps at regular intervals and eat well. Avoid sugar and be sure to drink water. Dehydration really impairs the brain function. I found using coloured pens to write important facts very helpful. Making study notes really helped when it came down to the crunch. All the best to you.

Depends a lot on what you perceive as memory lapses. I often find myself in mid sentence stuck for the right word that I know I know but just can't recall. This can also happen in exams with facts you know you know what happened in 1066 you just can't remember. The only cure for this is time, and perhaps thinking of something totally unrelated to the thing that you have lost track of, then a minute, hour, day, week, month, year, down the road it suddenly pops back into mind together with the whole conversation where the word/fact was required. Best cure or therapy?
Any memory aids you can dream up and practice like mnemonics and memory systems, practice them regularly it does help. Erm what was your Question?

This is possibly a mild panic attack and little can be done now that exams are here . Use better studying methods for the next session or accept that you need a new course and a new interest in life. I would recommend video control of emotions during this feeling of panic. Videos do have a strong influence on us and we don't get upset as we do when watching TV shows live.

I listen to music, mainly on CLASSIC FM, its actually helps me to study and focus, but as I don't know your age or likes and dislikes...?

AND............Do some study, then take a nice walk..around the garden, enjoy the sky, fresh air, then do some more, give yourself breaks!!! Basically to take on board what you have taken in, think about it, then do some more, your brain cannot take in information without some rest breaks! Try it, it works!.

Best of luck!

Take it easy, dont push yourself too hard. The best way I use to study is flash cards!! I'm in college and i still use that tool i used for spelling tests in 5th grade! they are a great tool and they just keep pushing the information into your head. Good luck!!
