There is a guy who lives 20-25mins from me, I've known him for over a year now and he's been wanting to go out with me since like the day we started talking. I met him through Myspace and it turned out that he was (still is) friends with this girl who I'm friends with too and known for 10 years!!!
Anyways, lately he's been texting me wanting to meet him because he really likes me and wants to be with me but thing is, I'm nevous about meeting him and I keep putting it off.
Is it normal to feel nervous like that? I mean, I've met guys from online before in person, but he's different and I'm just really nervous to go meet him, I like him a lot but he's just different...
Could it be that he's telling me he likes me and wants to be with me BEFORE we even meet? I don't know, I'm so confused, I keep putting off meeting him and I feel bad, what should I do?

I know he isn't fake because one night I was at his work with some friends and I saw him working, so he isn't fake!!!

Sounds like my situation... seems like you like him and it sounds obvious that he likes you too!!! But if you don't feel like it's time to meet, then don't go and meet him. Do it when the time feels right for you. Don't let the oportunity pass you by, go out there and meet him and see where things go!!! IF not you may regret it later down the line and be like "Damn, why can't I be that girl with him?" or say you get into some other relationship and it doesn't turn out well and you go back to him and he's got someone else, you know what I'm saying?

Meet him and see what happens. If you don't meet him you might regret it later on. I met my husband online and we have been married 5 1/2 years and have a 2 1/2 year-old son.

you need to test the waters and not just miss the chance. lots of people always have good feelings for someone else but blow the chance to make the move or give the time. life is short so go out and date the guy.

I think it's RIGHT for you to be a little nervous.
Here's what I suggest : Meet him in a group setting, with lots of people, guys and girls. DO NOT COMPROMISE. No private meets. Be careful and be smart...if all this caution turns out to be for nothing, fine...but you're smart to be a little apprehensive.

If your gut feeling is bad, you're probably right. If you want to date him, have a friend go along. If you are younger, an adult.
If he is somewhat messed up, I doubt he'd do anything in front of others.

how can you judge someone from myspace and someone you`ve never met? it may be fake, even if your friend knows him. but if you truly like him, then its only natural to be nervous. and i wish you two the best of luck.
