I was enlisted in the Army Reserve and National Guard from 1990-1999. Honorably discharged. Am I eligible for an AKO account?

Not according to the AKO webpage.

Only Active Duty, national guard, reserve, da civilan and retired personal may register.

What I've heard is that you're eligible for an AKO account as long as you're in the IRR. You IRR time expires ten years after you first entered the DEP of DTP.

Yes however you will need to be sponsored unless you are still on IRR status email me at patrick.welsh@us.army.mil and we will get you hooked up with one. Thanks for serving!
