Murad Acne Complex kit is pretty effective. The Murad kit contains a cleanser, face perfecting lotion and an acne gel. The system is about the same in cost to Proactive if you purchase it through the Murad Membership Club on murad.com which is the same concept as the Proactive Membership Club. I used Proactive for a very long time and it worked fine but after 5 or 6 years, it became less and less effective. I recently switched to the Murad system and it seems to work great, better than Proactive. Alot of it depends on your skin too. Some people respond better to Proactive because of the primary ingredient, Benzoyl Peroxide where as Murad uses no Benzoyl Peroxide. Murad gives you a 60 day money back guarantee for trying their product so you have nothing to lose if you want an alternative to Proactive.

A lot of products. Equate brand products (Walmarts store brand), St. Ives is pretty good, products from Yves Rocher ( http://yvesrocherusa.com ), I'd say even Clean & Clear and possibly Clearsil, and maybe Neutrogena, but those 3 don't work nearly as good as Equate and St. Ives.

As long as you're keeping your face clean, wash once or twice a day, keep dirty and even clean hands away from your face, wipe down any phones you use with rubbing alcohol, eat healthy and drink plenty of water, exfoliating at LEAST once a week, and any sweat on your face wiped away with a clean cloth only...your skin should be fine.

Proactive is a gimmick that only works for people with a certain skin type and a certain kind of acne. With a lot of people they experience severe drying from their products and actually MORE acne than when they started. So don't believe everything you hear that comes out of the mouth of a dermatologist. I have never used Proactive, but I use Equate everyday, a cleanser and an exfoliant, followed by Dove bar soap in Nourishing, and my face is fine, only a few pimples but nothing that bad. I also have dry skin. If you have oily skin you will have more acne, and regardless of your age too. So buy products that are specifically for your skin type.

I tried proactive and it did work real nice for me, but my pocket could not hold that much money to pay for it. I had acne on my arms, face, back and chest. I used proactive just on my arms and face but it was like using 4 times what you would use for your face. So would have to buy 4 kits a month minimum, ouch...

Well what I ended up doing was just showering twice a day for 2 to 3 weeks, and with no medication that seemed to help a lot more that I thought it would! I am now back to showering just once per day but go back to two if I have a flare up. I also try not to touch cats or dogs (they seem to affect me dermatologicaly "more acne") I do spot treatments with clearasil occasionally. but am now mostly acne free. I always have a few here or there but nothing that a stick concealer can't hide.

I think I bought a bar of Clearasil Antibacterial bar soap also at first, but now just try to stick with soap with nothing added. Though recently I have been using one that has vitamins in it.

just realize it probably takes two weeks for acne to appear from what ever caused it, so probably the same applies in reverse. Also, don't use so many products that it dries your skin. I read another answer from a guy from India who recommended lemon juice and honey on acne for treatment.

It depends. Proactive is good, but it shouldn't be used in the long run as it is soooo drying. I had to use at one time in my life. Now I just use Jafra's Revitalizing Pearl Cleanser with a warm cloth, and then I use their Clear Pore Clarifier with Royal Jelly Milk Balm moisturizer. Awesome stuff if you want to try something more affordable that Murad.

Neutrogena Rapid Clear is much better than Proactive because it does not dry the skin and still fight acne effectively as it contain MicroClear™ technology, a powerful new technology clinically shown to boost delivery of acne medicine to clear congested pores and speed treatment deep to the source. It is a maximum strength acne treatment for breakout emergencies that clears breakouts fast and helps prevent emerging breakouts even before they become visible

The product that is better than "proactive" is Nu skin Clear action system.. But it is quite expensive... It is a good product. It is from my experience...

I don`t use anything because I don`t have problems with skin. But proactive isn't good for everybody. Certain tip of skin demands certain product. I have sensitive skin and all those products never helped me & since I stop using those them my face looks great.

It feels good, that's the right aspect to do, God desires it human beings, i love it, there are various causes. I attempt no longer to imagine about what persons will imagine, yet let's be actual, that has entered into it earlier, even with the reality that I 'm no longer happy with that. The Bible says that faith with out good works is lifeless, so as that's yet another excuse. also, why no longer do good issues? the international has a lot evil in it, there are such numerous who do not do the right aspect, why no longer help the stability come any opposite direction? each so often that's truthfully a lot less confusing to do the right aspect and it takes more suitable attempt to do incorrect!
