find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter your stats and it will tell you how many calories a day you need to maintain your weight. take 300-400calories off that number and that's how much you need to lose weight.
eat 5-6 small meals a day instead of 3 big ones.
5-8 servings of fruit and vegetables a day.
8 glasses of water a day.
4-6 times a week cardio work out for 30-50min plus light weight training.
no junk food, no sodas, no white flour (white bread, pasta, cookies, cakes etc)

It's not crunches that will fix it, although they won't hurt. Crunches target your abs muscles but not the fat stored around them... you might find you get a skinny butt by doing abs for example.... exercise seems to target the last fat it stored in progressive order. Your body is storing excess energy as fat... and it seems to prefer that location on you.

You need to do some exercise to increase muscle mass and your metabolism to reduce your % body fat. Cardio exercises are great for losing muffin tops and arm flab.. I had a big belly five months ago.. gone now. Try 45 minute vigourous cycle three times per week... or a rowing machine. Firm up all over with some group fitness classes... who knows who you might meet.

Crunches will not get rid of your muffin top. If anything, you will have nice stomach muscles covered by body fat. You need to burn off your excess body fat through cardio exercises, a minimum of 30 minutes a day 4-5 times a week. You will need to get your heart rate up some and sustain it for a period of time where your body will burn off any sugars readily available and then start to burn off the fat next. Also, reduce your caloric intake. Watch carefully what you eat. Beware of hidden sugars and fats in food.

Remember, you cannot target one part of your body from which to lose body fat. You will have to lose some everywhere in order to lose it around your tummy and arms. Unfortunately, you cannot choose where to lose the fat. Working a specific area of your body does not mean that the fat from that area of your body will only be used as fuel.

dont wear a size that small... wear a size of pants that actually fits you! and crunches aren't going to help you lose the flab that much.. i did about 200 crunches a day for a few weeks and my stomache definately hardened.. i wanted light abs but they didn't show cause there was still a layer of flab on top.. you must first LOSE the weight by dieting or something before you do the crunches to tone.. it's harder than you think.

Crunches alone aren't going to do much, but will help start slow and work up to lots!!! Make sure that you are eating as healthy as possible!!! Also, backwards pushups where you put your arms on like the side of your bed or a chair or a bed or something and then dip down as far as youy can go will firm up your triceps (the back of your arm) making them have more definition!!!

i reccomend tae boe - very effective. Billy Blanks is a great DVD to get, and if you cant hack it, he just tells you to go back to the simple exercise thats best for the hips and stomach!!! and if that doesnt work, cut down certain foods like pastas rices etc. just change your exercise routine otherwise your body will get used to the dancing and what have you, and it will stop burning the calories
