Yes I have seen this recipe. Never tried it but I hear its not yummy at all. I do know people are creating many different things with weed now including a butter.

Yes, not as effective as smoking it, or just plain eating it (like baking it in brownies.)
When you clean a bowl or pipe you can just place it in a pot of boiling water. Me and my friends once dared each other to drink the water when it was done. only me and another guy could finish our cups and I took a shine to it. Gives you a different high than smoking it.
I don't smoke anymore but that brings back fond (and vague) memories.

THC must be heat-activated slowly over a longer period of time to be effective orally. The process of heating the cannabis in a tea kettle, old-fashioned like grandma did over a few hours was the trick. Not only does it work, but it actually increases the potency by many many times, beware.

You can't extract the thc from marijuana by boiling it. You can only extract it through fat (a la brownies) or alcohol (a la booze).
