I don't want to know exactly what it was, but I'm sure it was a combination of a few things disgusting. The location I smelled it was at a port in Jamaica.

Another smell that pretty much produces an instant gag-reflex for me is the smell of ranch dressing.

It's a toss up between baby poop and a rotton egg exploding in the fridge. Poopoo diapers of the diarreah kind after some canned baby milk meal - OMG! And the kinkiest sufer odor of an exploding rotton egg, the green pudgy mess is near impossible to get past your mind.

Oh. but then there are some killer farts people extrude from the bowels of hell I could pull a couple hard-wired memories to telling tales. You know, the kind that creep along and suddenly you're engulfed in pure death without any chance of escape?! Bad dog farts are as competative, and as silent and dense as a black star. But ya know, cat p*ss at the bottom of the poop box reconstituted with a fresh p*ssing from a cat just before you're in it cleaning the thing out can have one up on the killer farts when the air flow is just right, or there isn't any air flow and you're stuck in the dust cloud. Ever have the air knocked right out of your lungs? Try cleaning out a way-past-due cat poop box with freshly peed in reconstituted stale cat pee. I don't know what Mustard Gas exposure feels like but I can bet reconstituted cat pee is prettyy darned similar. O-MG!!!

Well now Scunk, and an old rotting dead one for that matter, getting wrapped onto your tires even at high speeds can knock the air out of your lungs too. That nasty smell sticks to everything, including your esophagus, and just gets more and more intense as time goes on. But I think the worst smell of all I've ever encountered was the smell of an old dead person, just after death. It goes without description, as I cannot describe it if I tried.

I was minding my own business, watching tv with my Alsation dog curled up on the sofa next to me. . All of a sudden, I began to smell something similar to rotten eggs. I tried to ignore it, and it went away. Moments later, my dog let out an almighty fart, honestly, it was louder than my boyfriends farts, and that's saying somethin!
Slowly but surely, the deadly stench began to get stronger and stronger, to the point where I was gagging like mad. I had to run to the toilet and puke. What's worse, is that my dog had her wind problem for a good few days, and my bro later told me he had seen her eat a dead, maggot infested mouse in our garden. Whilst I felt bad for my dog, That smell will haunt me for the rest of my life. I still have nightmares about it a year on.
It may not sound too bad compared to rotting bodies and stuff, but believe me, I've smelt some awful smells, and that was by far THE WORST SMELL EVER!

What's the worst smell YOU'VE ever smelt?

Alright this is gross but, one time at my old job we put a chunk of uncooked meat in this guy's brand new refrigerator as a joke. Well, as it turned out they were remodeling and didn't plug it in for 6 months and we completley forgot about it. Man as soon as they cracked the seal on the door the whole room smelled so bad, half the people threw up on the spot.

Bourbon Street being hosed off in the morning in 100% humidity. Nothing quite matches the smell of various human excretions bright and early.

A suicide in August that wasn't discovered for 9 days. It took me a week to get the smell out of my nose. 6 years later I still feel a little nauseated when I think about it.

Well, it's not food related, but I was rubbing the cat's belly. She sprayed anal gland juice on me. I thought I could stand anything, but that was the most gross in the world! I immediately jumped in the shower to wash it off. I still could remember it 20 minutes later after the shower. It was the most horrible smell.

Old Broccolli water that sat on the stove for a week (not my house). One of the only things that I've smelled that truly made me gag. I almost threw up trying to pour it out.
