I think you mean "banned" not "band" & "prove" not "proof'.
To answer your question, though, just because there is no proof of what the Bible states is not justification to try to ban a holiday. You would also have to ban St. Patricks Day, Valentine's Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Martin Luther King Jr. Day and any other day for which the only "proof" is written in a book somewhere. I personally never met Dr. King and know only what I know of him from what I read in books. So how do I know that he was real? This is the kind of logic you are attempting to apply.
To be honest, though, your question is quite moot. Neither you, I nor anyone has the power to ban a holiday. You could choose to exclude it from public recognition, but it won't stop Christians from celebrating it.
To try to ban it would be a fool's crusade.

The book is a collection of eyewitness testimony.

What is the scientific proof? There was an empty grave, Jesus was seen by more than 500 people after He was raised from the dead, there is the fact that people, today, experience science busting miracles (meaning they defy scientific explanation).

I have seen a girl who at age 5 or 6 drank liquid drano. It dissolved her esophagus. It was so bad, she was fed through a tube. Doctors could not do anything. 10 years later, she was in a church service where she was prayed for. Her esophagus was rebuilt (in the name of Jesus). Doctor's were amazed and could not answer how it was done other than to classify it as a miracle.

As long as miracles exist, they will continue to defy science (without regard to faith).
