Only if you break a mirror while walking under a ladder when you don't tithe!
Skip the Superstitious religiosity and get into the spirit of Christianity if you intend to follow.
The only "curse" that you may incur by not tithing is answering for you poor use of God's gifts at your judgement.

Oooh, ouch, many people don't like ya touchin the ole pocketbook question. But, yes, I believe what the Bible teaches, even if it is difficult and not a very popular subject. I've known to tithe for yrs, but selfishly didn't want to part with the almighty dollar. I just started tithing about a yr ago as my faith has grown stronger. I know God doesn't need my money, but rather my heart and my trust. I believe that by holding back on giving and other areas as directed by God hinders your relationship with God. Christianity is a growing relationship with God/Jesus and by not tithing, we stunt that growth. Even the lady who gave her last coin in the Bible knew the meaning of trust in the Lord.

I am amazed that so many people are aware that you don't have to tithe.
In the Old Testament food was tithed and then they came together and shared the tithes (of food).
Deuteronomy 14:22-29
Tithing today is a tele-evangelist hang-up.

Yes I do know that. This applies to those who are saved and in right standing with GOD. The lost could tithe till they are flat broke but it would not do them any good. God loves a cheerful giver not someone who is trying to "buy" their way into Heaven.

No, I didn't know that. It sounds like some false doctrine from the "prosperity gospel" camp to me since it certainly isn't in the New Testament.
2 Corinthians 9:6 The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. 7 Each one must give as he has made up his mind, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
8 And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work. 9 As it is written, "He has distributed freely, he has given to the poor; his righteousness endures forever."
10 He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness. 11 You will be enriched in every way for all your generosity, which through us will produce thanksgiving to God.

Did you know that if you believe in curses, and superstitions, you aren't really religious?? I believe in tithing, but some people..good people...can't afford it., and they give back to the Lord with belief, forgiveness, and actions.

some say we are not under that law, how ever we are under law of sowing and reaping, and at any rate you still need to give, I personally tithe and it say's that in Malachi, and in the new testament as well and it can work in your favor but is also for your children. and also it is not for the unbeliever they will not understand!
