I would like the original lyrics and nothing dirty since I will be using this in my classroom. If you know a website as well, that would be much help.

Hi Steve,
First off thanks for asking your question! Second, That cadence "I don't know but I've been told" is in most versions not appropriate for children however there is an excellent site that I use when I run out of ideas to "call" or sing with my guys in formation during pt etc. It has pretty much every version of every cadence around and it will have what your looking for! Hope this helps.....Shadow Stalker

Heres an example of what we sing.

I don't know what You've been told
But Bravo's going to win the Gold
Listen up and listen good
Bravo's going to rock the hood

Sound off 1, 2
so on

I learned the original dirty one, until some whiny officer's wife decided it was too delicate for her ears!

I don't know what you've been told Echo Company rocks and Rolls Two old ladies laying in bed, one rolled over to the other and said..Echo company is out of sight, count it off your left your right! Your left, your left, your left right Echo.

There's really no telling how many different versions of it there are. I'm sure that half the drill sergeants that ever lived made up one of their own.

I don't know BUT I've been told
Eskimo (Pie) is mighty cold.
If I die on the Russian front
Bury me with a Russian (hunt)
If I die on the Russian rear
Bury me with a Russian (beer).

I have given this my best. Good luck with your mission and godspeed.

Yak..is right on, so far..there are many lines, I have heard them all - begining with the eskimo #%##* is mighty cold...My friend's son knows all the words (Dad was in the army)...and they are very explicit...maybe someone will know the rest ( I would ask her or her son since he sang the five or six verses on our last Scout trip) but - as I said they are dirty and explicit!
