Muslims love the bibles command to "love your enemies" and "turn the other cheek"...go to Islam chat rooms I guarentee you hear the mockery of these Christian pacifist doctrines.
It appears the Quran's command to "fight all who dont believe in Allah" (Quran 9:29) is winning by a long shot. Christianty has almost a one thosand year head start on the war-religion of Islam, and Islam's numbers are closing in already.
There are already 50+ Islamic countries and everywhere in the world Muslims are pressing for more land.
Christians must contradict their religion to even defend themselves, but Muslims fullfill their religion by killing kafirs (non-muslims) for any reason. The Quran has hundreds and hundreds of commands to murder unbelievers. The only stricture is upon "innocents" (Surah 2), but of course, unbelievers can never be innocent, in fact they are guilty of the worst crime possible!
Islam is savagery will prove the most successful...if it hasnt already.

When you say "Islam is savagery", you hit the nail on the head, because that religion forcibly keeps people backwards and ignorant.
Another Yahoo! respondant unintentionally reinforced my point when he asked if Neocons were taking us back to another Middle Ages. He cited the 1,000 years in which society made scant progress, due to religion keeping the people ignorant. I'm sure my response surprised him:
"So, in a THOUSAND YEARS of the Christian countries practically standing still in terms of knowledge, the Muslim countries couldn't make enough progress to make Europe look like third world losers? The contest still ended pretty much in a draw? Wow, that's pathetic.... for you know who.
So, you're saying that Muslim culture, when allowed to go "full steam ahead", still can't outpace Christian culture when it's being forcefully restrained by fundamentalists?
The "neo-cons" you so blithly denigrate are giving those backwards, intolerant Muslim countries a chance to live in freedom, which seems to be the only way they'll ever break free of their Middle Ages mindset."

Islam is savage ! Well good prevails over evil and I firmly believe that they will fail. One of God's Commandments are: Thou Shalt Not Kill. If Islam loves to kill other Religions or what they call the infidel, then they will never be successful. They might rein on terror for a while and many innocent people will perish, but they will not win. They are disobedient to the Fifth Commandment and will answer to God, for this sin.

Just as there are many Christians that ignore the pacifist doctrine, I believe there are plenty of Muslims (nearly all of them actually) that aren't into warring against non-believers.
Within Islam there is the idea of lesser jihad (which is the one the media and fundamentalist Muslims focus upon), that is the fight against the non-believing world (not necessarily violently) and the greater jihad, which is actually the fight against oneself, insofar as maintaining your own principles before the principles of others.
Depending on which bits of religion people follow, Christians and Muslims are more similar than you'd expect.

puuuhhhlllleeeeeze show me where in the Quran the hundreds and hundreds of commands to murder unbelievers...your full of it. Have you ever read t he Quran to make such a horrible allegation? It doesnt say to fight those that dont believe in Allah....it says to fight those that fight you because you believe in Alllah...and then to stop when they stop and to never be the aggressor.
If Christians are ordered to "love your enemies" why is Bush in the Middle east trying to destroy it and make it his own?

If you read the entire 9th Surah you will see that 9:29 is applied to those break who oaths and are aggressive towards muslims!
Muslims are pressing for more land? Muslims are pressing for land Israel illegally occupies under International law!
Non-muslims enjoyed better rights under Muslim rule than others did under non-Muslim rule and history is testament to it!

Im from Lebanon. And we dont kill non believers. ACTUALLY Jews, Muslims, Christians, and Atheists all live together there. I dont know what Arab country your talking about when you say Muslims kill non believers.
But like every other religion. People who dont believe in God are said to be non believers and are sinners. But Murder is a sin so we dont KILL them.

I think there's more to both religions than those quotes....the bible said a lot of evil things and the Quran said a lot of good things so you can't bring the best of one and the worst of the other and say which is best.
