Good man! I ran across that site a while back then lost the link. Thank you for posting it.

You realize that the anti-good sense and science group (A.K.A. the liberals) will reject the whole thing, don't you? They'll refuse to accept it despite the fact that more than 17,000 scientists have clearly stated they do not agree with the global warming theory and the Kyoto protocols.

Isn't it amazing how a politician can know so much more about science than a scientist?

What you're referring to is the Oregon Petition, it has some 19,700 signatories of which 17,800 are ‘verified’. There are serious concerns about the way in which the signatures were acquired. One examination of the petition by Scientific American found that many of the names were not of scientists, of those that were scientists some had never heard of the petition, of those who originally signed a significant number stated they wouldn’t sign again http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oregon_Petition

The man behind the petition is Professor Frederick Seitz, an oil executive previously employed by R J Reynolds Tobacco to counter claims that smoking was harmful and to this day still holds these beleifs.

You forgot to mention the other petition against global warming - known as the Leipzig Declaration.

Øjvind Hesselager, a Danish broadcaster examined the credentials of the signatories to the Leipzig Declaration and concluded “only 20 of the names on the list had any scientific connection with the study of climate change, and some of those names were known to have obtained grants from the oil and fuel industry"

As to what does it do - nothing.

LOL - I'd be willing to bet a lot of these signatures have changed their mind lately. It really doesn't matter, though. The way it looks, the way everything is increasing exponentially faster than expected, I think you and I will be around for the 'final round up'. I think we have finally used the last straw that 'broke the camel's back'. Have you noticed things are getting weird lately as far as global weather goes?

they are just using their God given right to be wrong. We know CFC's kill ozone which allows more UV to hit earth causing all kind of problems-bio, cutting ice at the poles...we know cities are 3 to 5 degrees warmer than w/o buildings. And the GW agenda is to fix it. Clean up the atmosphere. Use solar electric turbines. reduce CO2 and replant the forests. Anything wrong with that?

That fake "petition " has been floating around cyberspace for years. What of it? No real scientists have signed it.
