Yes and no. The only person who can TRUELY know what's best for you is yourself, but when you are younger you make unintelligent decissions and that's when your parents choices are what's best for you, but as yu get older only you can decide what's best for you. However when you are younger, your parents usually know what's the best or at least close to it, but sometimes that's not necessarily the case. This is a good question but its very hard to answer. I hope I helped

Of course not! All we can ever do is hope that we're making the best possible decision, based on our experiences. On the other hand, the parents have a responsibility to raise the children, so the parents must make the decision. The parents get the last word, although they may be sometimes open for discussion about the details. The key thing to remember is that although the poarents may not always _know_ what's best for their kids, they're almost certainly going to be more correct than the kids would be.

Its an old belief that the parents want the best for their children. But I have found in recently years that it is not always the case. However, that depends on the parents. If they put your needs, and your best interests above their own then it is a pretty safe bet they are looking at a situation with a different prospective than yours. They also have been there, done that and are wearing the tee shirt. They are trying to help you make better choices than they did. But it does come to a point in every parent - child relationship to let the child, teenage or young adult to make mistakes and hopefully they can help you sort thru the problems it causes and work thru the solutions. Good luck.

Not all parents are the best of authorities. But I have learned that my dad knows so much more than I do on almost anything. I have a son that is 22 and I hope that I can guide him just half as good as my dad does me today. So yeah, being on both sides of the question I would have to say that parents do know whats best for their kids

YES, more often than not. I am 71 years of age. My children age from 49 to 14. I have great wisdom, I do know best for my kids. Now that the eldest children have kids, they often tell me how correct I was about certains aspects of their lives. Yes, Father does know best. My 19 yr old daughter recently disovered that I was correct about having pot on her person. She took a little trip to jail. Yep, hand cuffs to.

It depends on the parents, I know of some parents who couldn't find their way out of a paper bag. I also know some parents who are incredibly selfless, intelligent and loving------they want the best for their kids, therefore do whatever they can to raise their kids to become responsible human beings.

Yes but it also depends on the parents. Take a deep look at them and if you think they are doing good in life then they must know something...They raised you and your doing good so far correct???

Yes because parents are older than their children and have been around longer than their children.
