Unfortunately, I scratched the car at the right side above rear wheel against a post. I didn't expect the car to get hit at this area.

I am not sure what you mean by the insurance. If you mean the extra insurance that the rental company charges you, you owe nothing. I had a rental in a parking garage. The circular out ramp was more than I expected. I did about $2000 damage, walked away owing nothing. In fact I turned the car in to get one that wasn't damaged, no problem.

Nope! good for you, you bought the optional coverage (I'm assuming that's what you mean when you say you "had the full insurance on my contract"). About a year ago I damn near tore the roof off a rented van and returned it to Enterprise owing absolutely nothing, simply because I paid $9.99/day for the loss-damage waiver.

If you took out their insurance that would pay for the damage. If you didn't take out their insurance check with your own insurance companies. Some states pay for a rental vehicle under the collision portion of the policy and some pay for it under the property damage liability section.

If you paid for insurance at the time you rented the car then it is covered .If not then demand your money back

Your regular auto insurance should cover the damage (assuming you have collision).
