bopoppa - Hey have fun! FYI The Nazis conquered most of Europe in less time than it has taken the US to in Iraq, tha tis because they used the native populations as allies and were greeted as liberators. That is the Nazis, imagine how Iraqis portrait your invasion! You kill thier familes and destroy a whole culture of people. I love my country very much, but this war, Bush and Big Oil's war that you are fighting for them, is wrong. So save your weird concept of patriotism for someone who is less wise to the ways of Imperialism than I. Perhaps you should read up a bit on your role in the scheme of history - neo-colonialist...

Do you know what the tour length was in WWII? Probably not. Just another uneducated, country-hating lib whose idea of sacrifice is exchanging his Nofriendo games for credit to buy new ones because he can't hold a job.

Neoalien.. How would you know if they want to return or not. I am active duty and know quite a few more service personnel than you do. No one wants to go back to just go, but nearly all of them want to return to get the job done. Have you ever served??

Did you just state that the Germans were greeted as liberators? I haven't read your version of history yet. That would be the one where Nazi Germany enjoyed the cooperation from the rest of Europe. Interesting! Now let me explain the truth to you coward. The Nazi sweep through Europe is nothing like the war we fight today. The majority of troops were uniformed and armies were matched against each other. Nothing like the guerrilla warfare we go against now. No uniforms and cowards slipping in and out of school children and mosques. There was no 24 hour press in WWII that dictated how the fight was conducted or politicians that cowed to them and changed their stance every other day to match public opinion. Don't try to act like you know a da#n thing about war. Go hide behind your conspiracy theories and hate speech without ever serving your country. You shouldn't even speak of WWII as you don't deserve the freedoms given to you by those great veterans. Go hide little boy.

Very few will refuse. You are a volunteer, and you have a sense of duty. It's a differant mindset from being in most civilian jobs. If I were still in, I would go if ordered, and I oppose the war totally. You just do what you have to do.

They can not refuse to go. If they break their orders they go to JAIL. In the Army or any Armed Forces, you sign a contract to work for the government. You have to follow all orders, written and verbal.
They will all go back because they have no choice.

I guess your solution would be to just pull all of our troops out and send them back home. This would be extremely irresponsible and something an idiot liberal Democrat like yourself would want. Kind of the same thing an idiot liberal Democratic president did with banning certain types of guns. You will only hurt the innocent, law abiding individuals by doing this. I'm a vet myself. I missed going to the first Gulf War by 6 months and this one by three months. However, if called upon, I WOULD PROUDLY SERVE AND NOT TUCK TAIL AND "CUT AND RUN" LIKE MOST LIBS WANT US TO DO. So, do I think some will refuse? I say hell no!!! These men and women of uniform are proud of the badge they wear. They wear it with honor and would never disgrace it by refusing to defend their country.

You can't compare this war to WW II, This isn't a war this is imperialism. Ask your self this question What is the color of the Iraqis army uniforms? No one knows so it is not a war.

Some might. Most will not; this is their job, after all.

We are at war. My grandfather left home in 1942 and didn't see U.S. soil again until late in 1945, even after being wounded twice in that time. He had a job to do. He and his brothers, and most of the men of their generation went overseas to keep a war from being fought here.

I guess times have changed. Not for the better.

Very few of them will.

The fact of the matter is that the people in the military have a sense of commitment and duty. (You might want to look those words up in a dictionary.)

BTW - what would you do if you were in danger - and the people who were supposed to help you 'refused to go?'

Some might talk about it, but most of them know they have a job to do and are proud to serve their Country, so your little wish may not come true.

God Bless America and our Troops !!!
