Because we allowed a foreign language to replace English.
Because we don't insist immigrants acclimate themselves to become Americans

My definition of American is purely a belief system. Americans are those that believe with working hard, and working smart, you can be prosperous. In most other countries, no matter how hard or smart you work, you will still be poor. America is different in that way. Yes, there are handouts by the government, but those that depend on handouts will be slaves their whole lives. That is alright. I know that me and my wife work both smarter and harder then most people and we have done very well in our lives. Also, immigrants are the lifeblood of this country. This country will die without them. Don't worry about everyone else getting handouts. They will be slaves. I promise you that YOU will be infinately more prosperous than those recieving handouts. Besides, most of the people recieving handouts aren't immigrants. They are usually American citizens anyways. All the immigrants I know work 12 hour days 6-7 days a week. Come to NYC and see for yourself.

Its gone the way of the China/Burma road.
Look at the labels on the items you own. Where is it manufactured. 80% of the jobs in america are service jobs. That means only 20% of the workforce supports the other 80%. It cannot go on that way. A nation has to have a large manufacturing base to carry its economy. It has to be the driving force in America for one to have an American Dream. How many people do you know who work for a manufacturer? If they work in the health field, schools, government [local, state or Federal], food markets such as restraunts, fast or otherwise, the building industry, auto industry, retail stores etc. they are in a service market.
Ask around, all your friends, neighbors, family members, man/woman on the street. Then you will know where the American dream has gone.

It is nearly impossible to "work your way up" and equal opportunity is a myth.
There are high school graduates with the literacy skills of a nine year old, not because they are unintelligent, but because the educational systems in poorer areas are that terrible. So many people are hindered from the start, and while it is possible to reach "the top" from even the worst situation, the chances of that happening are far less for those who are poor.
Considering we are one of the richest countries in the world, this is pathetic. There is absolutely no reason why every person cannot receive a decent education.

They have been trying to Hijack it since 1993! We have to fight to keep those rights. With one swipe of a pen it could all vanish over night. Americans of all races and regardless of gender are close to becoming slaves if not peons! Especially in Right To Work States.
Make sure to BoyCott the Hell out of Huge Oil Companies! Stop the Excessively High Cost of Oil and Gasoline Products. We will not be held Hostage!

Alias seems to be offering up a conflicting answer she states AMERICANS got too lazy to learn MATH and other important subjects. But then she goes on to say This is why we need to hire foreigners that are competent in those skills we LACK!
But is she saying here that she is an illegal alien?->Nobody to blame but yourselves! As she doesn't include herself or her movement La Raza into this. The America dream is all about illegal aliens from Mexico proclaiming they want a better life and the rest of us are in the way. Many pro amnesty feel any job that pays an America well is one job an illegal alien should have gotten. IN other words we are not allowed to be a country or have an America dream when the pro amnesty declares all Americans as lazy, no one ever finished school. Dr's are incompetent according to the pro amnesty a Mexican Dr with no American medical training could work circles around any American Dr.The pro amnesty call's everybody else lazy but themselves and their illegals.

The American dream was free immigration and social mobility. Americans picked the winning side to fight on at the end of WW2 and have ridden high ever since which has brought about great decadence caused by exploiting the rest of the world. American citizens on the whole can only do what they have to now in a land of diminishing expectations (re immigrants), so sand blast the slogan off the statue of liberty and quit fooling potential immigrants as to your intentions.

I guess we have the wrong politicians in America right now,but there are still millions of Americans fighting for the American dream, our kids are fighting a war they shouldnt have to ,and I doubt they will come home and deal with illegals,Because the democrats want slaves and the politicians want votes? what a joke to this nation,I watch our vets go without medical or even a home while we be politically correct to take care of illegal and their anchor babies, what a shame,What happened to taking care of our own,we just forget about them because they dont rally and burn our flag? IM DISCUSSTED TO THE FULL EXTENT,Thank God I still have the right to bare arms,Its sad it will come to that ,but Im sick of the way our government spends our taxes.
