when i was a waitress i figured people may have been low on cash or something but at a casino i figured at least a $1 a drink would be good but that's not always the case.... but sometimes it's hard to be nice to people that constantly stiff you.

I always tip the cocktail waitresses at the casino when I get a drink, I think alot of people are just plain lazy or just dont care but hang in there and keep smiling. GOOD LUCK

This does amaze me. Many people don't realize that the cocktail waitresses have to pay a fee or tax to the casino per a drink. This is anywhere from 15 to 50 cents depending on what is ordered.

Always remember, if you tip them, they will remember this and you will get much better service. When I am at the casino I usually have them bring drinks to me without even asking.

Another good tip: Remember to tip the dealers. Now if you are loosing your butt, they do not expect you to tip. They are working their butts off, usually over an 8 hour shift on their feet. It is not an easy job! The dealers always prefer that you bet their tip. This is essentially betting their tip next to your bet to double it. You can bet for the dealer for any position on the table games.

Good luck!

Justin

I always tip a dollar for each "trip" to me. Last time I was there, I had a waitress bring me 2 drinks at a time. It seemed like maybe she had a really big section of the casino, because it always took her a long time to get back around to me, and she seemed okay keeping my happy by bringing 2. I tipped her $1 each time. She seemed okay I guess, she did that a few times.

I have only been in a casino 3 times but I tipped my cocktail waitress.... sorry to hear that is not the "norm" though. I always felt If he/she does a service for you he/she should be tipped.

Yeah I agree, I do tip the waitresses, so I really don't know other than they are cheap or broke. Last time I was at the casino I tipped both times she came back for me with a smile:)

It is very sad that the players do not tip but sin & black had very good reasons why that happens. I would like to add that players are superstitious and some may feel that the waitress is bad luck. But it would benefit the player if they do tip because of the positive karma they would create for themselves.

I deal poker in Vegas and i can tell you that i don't get tipped all the time either but i am always a professional when this happens. This happens sometimes so you just have to suck it up and deal with it, people are either to drunk, to stupid, or to tight with there money. But i live on tips, so when I'm at the table and i get a drink i always make sure to tip a dollar.good luck...
