I really need to see a source for that. I have never seen a bear that did not swim well. It seems to be a natural thing with them.
I am an atheist but that primary statement sounds wrong.

The holey books are not a good base for morals though.

Why would this so strange.....If God did indeed create all things wouldn't his mark also be on all things....Devotion, love, duty, wouldn't those things be found in a bear as well as a human?
Its the human that alone makes an active conscious decision to ignore those qualities......

After all in Eden there was total peace...The Lion lay down with the lamb..It was mans action of eating from the tree of knowledge that has separated us from that harmony that God meant for us to have.

The most beautiful thing in the universe is the human soul....The most vile thing in the universe is the human soul......We only stand above the other creatures because we can make those choices...

I see beautiful and loving behaviors like that in animals, too. Watching panda mothers and cubs on zoo webcams is particularly rewarding, because there's this wonderful loving bond between them. However, we also see lions killing a rival's cubs and taking down elephants, so we have to be careful what examples we see in which animals. Guess they're a mixture of good and evil...just like us. :-)

It's true. I've heard the dolphin thing before too. And the other day for example, one of my rats had a cut and was bleeding and the other one was extremely concerned and tried to take care of him.

Gods spirit is in every living thing.Morality is from God.Animals work by instinct ,humans by thinking.Morals should be part of every human. But we know when some one doesn`t have a conscience they can do anything and feel no remorse.

And dolphins have circled around humans when sharks are in the water to protect them. I agree :)

it comes from both.

most living creatures havea sence of selflessness, wanting to help others.

stuff like the bible and such help us to remember that, cuz humans are the most likely to become greedy, and not care about others.

animals dont need that stuff, cuz they dont have that human naturer to get ahead of everyone else
