Yes, they are energy of those before us. Animals have different senses than ours so they can experience them easier then we can.

Animals and children are more sensitive to entities than adults are. Have you ever noticed an animal just sitting and looking at one spot on the wall? When people ask me about entities, one of the first questions I ask them is if they have a pet and how that pet reacts when the person thinks the entity is around.

Animals and small children don't have people telling them entities don't exist, so they see them and communicate with them. Where do you think most of the "imaginary" friends come from? I realized this when my daughter had an imaginary friend. One day the friend was gone and I asked my daughter where she went. My daughter told me it was time for her to go to her mommy and her daddy. I asked her where they were and my daughter looked at me like I was a total moron and said "They're dead." Her friend never came back again after that. I guess she found her parents.

Yes...though, like humans, some are more sensitives than others. My terrier has picked up on spirits a couple times before I have, or has drawn my attention to a certain spot and in a few seconds something will happen to conclude that it wasn't just our imaginations...such as a lamp near that spot flickering while other lamps on the same breaker are fine...and so on.

Trust your pets...they are the best of both worlds, the sensitivity and raw instincts of animals, but socialized enough to tell you what is going on.

By sensitive to you mean they do something signature which you can recognize as "oh my cat has felt the presence of a spirit" by doing something it hasn't done. Like meowing and being very anxious. It is sort of believed that animals have a better awareness and could even pick up some weird lifeform. anything is possible really. It has not been proven nor proven false.

I simply call them entities or spirits, or ghosts or apparitions depending on what they are. I do believe animals can see them.

I call them spirits or souls.
Yes animals and sensitive people can see them, and feel their presence.

yes. In my culture, animals can see them... especially the dogs. Dogs can sense and smell them at the same time.

I don't have a term, really.

And I know my animals can see them too (I feel them). They react to things I can only sense, as if they see it.
