Everyone else I'm sure is going to blast you for drinking while your sick etc.

Truth is I have at times, to no ill effect, it can increase the buzz and I'm sure it's bad for you, weakens the immune system...but your sick anyways, might as well be comfortable.

I'm not saying do it, but in reality if your generally a healthy person like me that only gets sick once every few years, and have no other medical conditions, hanging out on the computer haveing a few beers and takeing some tylonal isn't going to kill you.

I'm sure I'll get some thumbs down for this responce, but I prefer to be honest, just use common sense and modertaion and if your symptoms get worse...of course cut it out. I doublt it will make you take any longer to get well if it's part of your routine anyways. if anything it might screw up your metabolism to stop drinking.

Short answer is: No

The liver can convert acetaminophen into a toxic product. It tries not to, but if you drink alcohol or take too much acetominophen (or both), even an otherwise healthy individual may overwhelm the liver's ability to metabolize acetaminophen safely and the toxic product can build up.

This toxic product can result in life threatening liver failure, but it won't be apparent for a couple days afterwards. No sense in taking that risk.

You can take Ibuprofen if you need to take a medicine for your fever. Alternatively warmly soaked washcloths can help.

It is very important for acetaminophen to be cleared from the body properly because it possesses potential to damage the liver. Alcohol compromises the liver's ability to metabolize acetaminophen, thereby compromising the clearance of acetaminophen.

if this is a one time thing, sure

but don't do it too often, and why are you drinking more than 3 drinks daily? thats not good for you anyway.

maybe just let your fever burn for a while or take a cool shower and go to sleep. fevers aren't bad unless they're really high (103+)

No, not according to guidelines. the 3 or more with acetminophen will damage your liver.

I wouldn't, you could do damage to yourself, your liver.... Go take a cool bath or shower, or eat some icecream *yummy*, an ice bath works good.
