My little brother is 9 years old and I am 13, and his hobby is annoying me. And it always works, and it always amuses him. What can I do to stop him from annoying me?

I agree with nease... but I'd take it further.. Figure out why he annoys you---what does he get out of it? Your attention? Is your attention, no matter how 'pissed' you are, better than no attention from you at all? I think he really admires you and just doesn't know how to show it.. He wants to interact, but doesn't know how... Who has shown him how? Annoying you amuses him, or so it appears, but I think it is a cover to shield how much he really wants to be in your life.. If he didn't like you at all he wouldn't bother with you. Try being nice to him at unexpected times.. Surprise him with a kind word about his appearance or ask how how it went at the ball game.. Or volunteer to do or share a chore.. Do something nice for him... without teasing him, keep it "nice"... Toss a ball, offer to read, show him something you found..share with him.. Let him go first.. and don't make disparaging hurtful remarks. Be kind.. It will take awhile for him to get the picture and want kind words from you more often.. Just grit your teeth and do it.. He'll come around to wanting to be near you, hoping for your praise. and he won't have to annoy you... How would you feel if he was not there to annoy you? Tell him, "I'm glad you are here..I'd miss you... Be sweet.. It's a training for a lifetime..

i use to annoy my brother, one day he just ignored my existence and i stopped since there was no reaction

Try spending time with him and doing things that he enjoys.. then explain you need some time for yourself. Good luck.. he probably just loves you and its his way of showing it. Unfortunately I dont think they ever grow out of it :)
