You could pretty much do any sports. Find one that you like and join a team if you can. You can try playing wii or dance dance revolution. Maybe you like swimming? There are plenty of things you can do to keep in shape and still have fun. If you want to help lose the weight. Watch what you eat and try passing on all sodas and drink water instead. Write down what your daily amount of calories is per day on average is per day and cut it down by like 400 or so and you should be losing weight in no time.

These things shouldn't be a mystery, really. The best way to do all of those is to get outside and find some activities that you enjoy. Try biking, inline skating, running, playing on a sports team, tennis, hiking, kayaking, rock climbing, snowboarding (my favorite) and so on and so forth. Join a club, find a partner to do them with, push each other. Do them a lot, put plenty of effort into them. You get out what you put in. You need to sweat, you need to breathe heavy, you need to get your pulse up and keep it there. A leisurely bikeride into town to suck down a sundae isn't gonna do it. (you laugh, but I bike past a bunch of fat women who ride their bikes to the ice cream place, and then sit around eating banana splits while they complain about how they can't lose weight).
I've been doing it, and it works. Don't expect to just do it for a few weeks, lose the weight and then stop. You have to incorporate activity into your life style AND you have to eat healthy. (you can indulge SOMEtimes).
I've lost 34 lbs by changing how i eat and by getting out and walking, boarding, and biking. Sometimes I bike 12 miles to and from work. It makes a big difference!
Good luck!

Dancing (Dance Dance Revolution is dancing too!), swimming, yoga, pilates, and more. Try exercising with friends. People are more successful that way, and it seems more like fun. You can race each other, play games that includes outdoors.
Try listening to music or watching television if you're on the treadmill or something less fun. Time goes by easier.

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter your stats and it will tell you how many calories a day you need to maintain your weight. take 300-400calories off that number and that's how much you need to lose weight.
eat 5-6 small meals a day instead of 3 big ones.
5-8 servings of fruit and vegetables a day.
8 glasses of water a day.
4-6 times a week cardio work out for 30-50min plus light weight training.
no junk food, no sodas, no white flour (white bread, pasta, cookies, cakes etc)

If you are looking to lose weight and keep it off, then the key is finding something active that you enjoy. Try rollerblading, long walks, fun sports with friends like volleyball, basketball, or tennis. Check out park district or YMCA programs, looking for something that you want to try. Maybe it is swing dancing or yoga. I have a friend that lost 50 pounds by playing DDR on his PS2. He just loved playing the game, so he kept playing and the weight came off.
Just like him, you need to find something fun that gets you moving and do it. If it is fun and keeps you interested, you will do it again and again. As long as you are up and moving, having fun, you will lose weight. But, it won't come off overnight. Give it time.

I started dancing. I signed up for a introductory course (six weeks for $60) in shag, swing, and the lindyhop. Grab some friends and find the closest saloon and learn how to line dance. Find any club, most have theme nights (can look them up online) that will have a cover but spend the first hour teaching you how to dance.

You will have fun working out., because you will make friends.. You can also invite a friend to work out with you. That way you have a better chance of sticking with it. Just remember that you do not have to be perfect., find the good in yourself and get a fresh start. Peace Out!!
