You know... Even if I could afford a Hummer, I still wouldn't get one! I think they are ugly and completely unnecessary. First of all, the new ones aren't even built the way they were intended, and secondly, the older ones seem GREAT for war, but I don't think America is in such a condition that a rich man simply driving down the street requires armor!

The same thing you would want me to yell at you for being selfish enough to drive a car instead of walking everywhere, or for using electricity to access the internet. Every choice you make living in an industrialized society "wastes" environmental resources in the sense that you could use fewer resources if you lived without technology. If you're such an environmentalist that you feel the need to yell at others, perhaps you should give up technology and become a subsistence farmer, because you're "wasting" resources using a computer to ask this question.

Well, mr. puss, I now drive a '71 Mack truck diesel everyday. It's not quite as big as I would like (only one rear axle) but it's loud and smokes like hell and I drive that dang babe all over the place. Everyone (including Humvees) get the crap out of my way when I come blasting down the highway. I had a small incident at McDonalds drive through the other day -- it seems my new truck is quite a bit taller than I thought, but I still get plenty of looks when I stop to buy beer and cigarettes at the corner station every day. I'm saving up to buy a set of big steer horns to bolt on the hood!

"Hello. I have to admit I envy you terribly. I don't have enough money to buy or to drive a Hummer, and you just make me go green with envy. As a result, I owuld like to insult you, but I don't have enough vocabulary for that. I asked for help on Yahoo Answers, but I only got this jerk who said to admit I'm jealous".
EDIT:
Personally, I don't care for Hummers, and don't approve of most people driving such large vehicles because of the wasteful gas consumption. However, I think if you have the urge to lower you window and yell at someone driving a Hummer, it is most likely out of pure envy.

Why are you judging people by the type of car they drive? What did he ever do to you to make you want to yell at him or put nasty notes on his windshield (unprovoked)?

There is enough bigotry in the world already that we don't need people harrassing people for the cars that they drive. Just keep to yourself and leave others alone.

I don't. They are not worth my time.
Plus, I LOVE the original Hummers, the ones they use in the military. I'll take one of those any day.

Cool car. You really don't want to fight with them. They could run you over or something.
