I am 5'1 and 100lbs. I know most of you would say I'm normal but I want to be skinnier. I try so hard to lose weight but i just cant seem to and it seems like not eating is the only way it would workout. I didn't eat breakfast or lunch. I came home from school and ate a yogurt, pizza and ice cream. then at 8:00 had fruit and salad? I'm really dissappointed that I ate the ice cream and pizza, do you think it will ruin it? I walked to my friends house and back and to the park and did cardio a little bit ago and ab workouts. please help be honest.

I don't know how old you are but i'm guessing you are 18 or maybe even younger. I just want you to know that last year as a senior in high school I am 5'4" and weighed 130 pounds. Of course like anyone I was unhappy with my weight and started to diet and exercise. I was 18 yrs old I shouldn't have had to worry about that. I gained 10 pounds last year. Then I came to college this past fall and weight gain was all that was on my mind and like i figured i gained 25 more pounds. So the moral of the story is to be happy with how you are. I would do anything to be back to my 130 lb self...(which is what i'm working for)...don't stress about it- it will just make it worse..have fun- and live life...100 pounds is not heavy by any means..
also are you active in any sports...thsi should help out hs sports are a great workout...you should be eating w/e you want b/c you can burn it off...
otherwise i suggest to EAT BREAKFAST...bowl of cereal, oatmeal, eggs, anything healthy-- eat a big lunch with carbs and healthy food again, then at night try to eat a smaller portion if you fill up during the day instead of skipping meals and starving your body you won't be as hungry at night...

I know you do not want to hear this, but you are well on your way to a eating disorder, or probably have one now. at 5'1" you are actually 5 lbs under the recommended weight for your height. At 16 your can not really understand the damage you could do for yourself. The diet you listed is not enough nutrients. If you eat breakfast & lunch you will not be so hungry after school, & the reason your appetite gets so bad in the after noon is your blood sugar is dropping from skipping meals. I realize this is an obcession for you, but do you realize it. Get some help before you actually damage your body, it's the only one you get this time around.

You didn't eat enough today. And what you ate was not particularly nutritious. You need vitamins and minerals to help your body function. You need calcium to help you lose weight, for example. You should kick-start your metabolism at the start of the day with a healthy breakfast like fruit and yoghurt, or porridge made with non-fat milk, or wholemeal toast with banana. Then have a light lunch - a tuna salad or something. Snack on fruit, or non-fat milk, or nuts, or carrot sticks if you get hungry. Try to eat some thing healthy and filling for dinner. Pizza is absolutely fine once in a while, but it is a lot of calories for not much nutrients. Ice cream is also fine for a treat. You did not eat enough calories today, but the food you did eat was lacking in complex carbohydrates, protein, calcium, vitamins, minerals and omega 3 oils to name but a few essential things. Think of food as something to nourish your body. Not the enemy.

Dont worry, you can splurge every once in a while and get away with it. Just try to eat breakfast and lunch. Only eating at dinner might slow your metabolism, causing you to gain weight. Try to eat small meals 2-3 hours a day to speed up your metabolism. And you are normal! You sound perfect how you are. It is unhealthy to be underweight and if you lose too much more weight you will be there.

It's bad to skip meals. You lose nutrience, and you can actually gain more weight sometimes. You skip a meal, and then pig out later. It's best to eat healthier. Cut back on junk food and some fast food. Avoid trans and saturated fat. Eat sweets in moderation. Eat fruits and vegetables more. If you're late and miss breakfast, bring a healthy snack like granola, cereal, fruit, yogurt, etc.

Ok, I'll be totally honest. You do NOT need to lose weight. Your BMI of 18.9 is at the absolute low end of normal. If you lose weight you will be too thin. Give yourself a break.

Now -- to your eating habits. Try this -- it's really simple and since you're already at a normal weight it will be even easier. Eat when you're hungry and stop when you're not hungry anymore. I don't mean stop when you're full. Stop when you're not hungry anymore. Save the leftovers for later, no matter how delicious they are. Eat what you want, but be reasonable and let your hunger guide you. Your body will keep you at a reasonable weight if you listen to it and ONLY eat when you're hungry. Dump the guilt and listen to your body. Try this for a few days and you'll see what I mean.

-You need to eat breakfast every day. Eating a good breakfast everyday boosts your metabolism and gives you energy during the day.
-Eat at least three meals each day. Spreading out eating throughout the day is better for digestion and metabolism. Either have three meals and light snack if needed or eat 4-5 small meals.
-Continue exercising regularly.
-Limit eating pizza and ice cream. Try to eat them only once a week or less and don't overeat them or anything else.

You are fine how you are, Actually I don't think 10 MORE pounds would really hurt you. That's not enough food in my opinion. I am 5'4 and weigh 110 and I eat a whole medium pizza and then some. And stop with the disappointment in yourself, that will only lead to lower self esteem and no one needs that.

you HAVE to eat breakfast !!!
find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter your stats and it will tell you how many calories a day you need to maintain your weight. take 300-400calories off that number and that's how much you need to lose weight.
eat 5-6 small meals a day instead of 3 big ones.
5-8 servings of fruit and vegetables a day.
8 glasses of water a day.
4-6 times a week cardio work out for 30-50min plus light weight training.
no junk food, no sodas, no white flour (white bread, pasta, cookies, cakes etc)

Look go to your doctor ask him if your wait is fine. If he says it is them don't loose wait. Also ask him if you are close to obesity I'm sure you are not. Please don't starve your self its even worst because, when you stop eating your body goes into starvation form and what ever you eat from that point on your body keeps all the fat from the food and does not throw anything away. It does this because it is afraid you won't feed no more. Just lower the amount of food you eat. Eat less and watch the fats and carbs. Don't try to be like those super models. If you have problem visit you doctor if you see that you look yourself in the mirror and look really fat but you are not visit a doctor ASAP.
