celery, cucumbers... stuff like that..

i hear people say u burn calories while eating it, what really happens?

You are burning calories all the time. Your body is spending energy doing internal things, like heating the body and digesting. While eatting celery, your body is lifting the fork, chewing, swallowing and digesting. However, the celery only has just a few calories so therefore the calories you are spending are far less than the calories you are adding in. So at that moment you are burning calories. Just like chewing gum. However, you aren't burning fat by eatting celery--just the calories for the day.
