Web-blogs do not count. Separation of Church and State does not count (because banning all religions is more fair than banning all non-Christian religions).

I DON'T REALLY. THERE SEEMS TO BE A LOT OF THAT BEING SPREAD, BUT I AM NOT PERSECUTED I AM JUST NO LONGER HEARD. SKIPPY MENTIONED THAT IT'S BECAUSE WE CAN'T HAVE CHRISTIANITY THE OFFICIAL RELIGION OF THE U.S. . NO OFFENSE SKIPPY THAT REALLY DOESN'T ANSWER THIS MANS QUESTION. I FEEL RELIGION HAS BEEN PERSECUTED. YOU'RE STATEMENT IN BANNING ALL IS MORE FAIR THAN BANNING ONE. IT'S A GREAT POINT. ALTHOUGH THAT'S NOT WHAT I UNDERSTAND THIS COUNTRY TO BE BASED ON. THIS COUNTRY IS BY THE PEOPLE, OF THE PEOPLE AND FOR THE PEOPLE. THE STATE CANNOT IMPOSE A RELIGION, BUT WE THE PEOPLE CAN VOTE FOR HOW IT CAN BE OUT THERE NOT BANISHED. WE ARE A COUNTRY THAT IS SUPPOSED TO BE RUN BY MAJORITY DECISION PROCESS, VOTING. WE HAVE BEEN PERSECUTED BECAUSE WE NO LONGER GET TO VOTE ON SOME ISSUES AND THIS IS ONE. I HAVE NOTHING AGAINST SOMEONE WHO DOESN'T WANT TO BELIEVE, BUT I DO GET UPSET WHEN I BELIEVE A GROUP IS SQUELCHED BY A SMALLER GROUP. THIS ISN'T THE BASIS THAT WE WERE SET UP WITH.

Persecution happens when you are ridiculed, slandered, lies spread about you, truth distorted from being something to be learnt, to something ugly, driving people away from you.
In the western society, you don't have to be physically beaten, tortured, thrown in to prison, we have words, laws, media that do the same thing using mental torture, beatings, and throwing into a mind prison We disbeileve the truth because some group somewhere might (& will) call us a sham & degrade anything that might represent goodness, love, joy & personal freedom from the world & it's crazy lifestyles! All because we believe in God & his Son Jesus the Christ, and the beautiful plan of salvation.
Even though this is happening most of the Christian world will give the shirt off their backs to help the people who persue them even to death because they know in the end everyone will have to explain to God why they behaved in such a manner

I don't think that Christians should feel persecuted by atheists. If you are going to get mad at an atheist because they don't believe, yes that will get into a heated argument. Nobody likes to be yelled at or told what to do or to have someone say we are wrong. I can have different views then other people and say "Everyone is in titled to their own beliefs, we can still be friends" I find it most of the time its the Christians trying to change us atheists then the atheists trying to change the Christians.

i'm no longer able to start to wager why the two Christians or atheists could be feeling pissed off approximately something... that is notably sparkling there are modifications yet it is an elementary element to remedy via replacing somewhat tips and doing some genuine looking questioning... certainly there are opportunities for each to comprehend the rational of the different. the place's the rub?

I am a born again Christian, and don't feel any way persecuted by atheists. Can an atheist persecute Christ? Then how can they persecute me, I have Christ living in me. Even if they don't know it, they are serving Satan, My God is greater than Satan, so who show I fear.

I don't feel at all persecuted away from Y! Answers. I suppose that some Christian parents might worry that their children could be influenced by atheist children in school or the neighborhood.

I'm not sure the question should not be, why do they fear a secular nation, where we believe in Individual rights, that means every ones. Where they don't infringe their rights of religion on the rest of the community.

I feel like I am a lot, cuz I have athiest friends, who will say "I have a right to believe what I want" "people need to stop trying to convert me":

and I completely agree, EVERYone has a right, I don't care if they dont believe in God, but than they'll turn around and tell me that my beliefs are wrong, and that believing in God is stupid. I hate it, cuz I deserve to beleive what I want, just like them
