Yikes, that is a lot of caffeine and sugar! It does sound like you're addicted it... Try and wean yourself of gradually, cut down your intake day by day so eventually you've cut it out of your diet completely or limited your intake to one a day (at the most)! If you go cold turkey you may experience some with-drawl side effects - headaches is a common one when limiting caffeine intake.
Try and replace these drinks with healthy alternatives, ideally water or herbal teas.
You are only 16, whilst drinking these drinks long term could be detrimental to your health, you've come to terms that you have a problem early on so can rectify the situation! Good luck.

yes you are addicted to the caffeine in these drinks..time to take a good look at yourself and decide if you really want to be addicted and controlled like that...plus...just think of those wonderful profits you are making those companies...you are helping some corporate big wig get rich...other than that..you put an enormous amount of stress on your body with all those sports...if you ask most athletes..they will tell you that if you push so hard, you must treat your body well...good fuel..ie FOOD! and lots of rest...you are still growing....if you have to use this crap to do this all, then you are doing too much and you'll burn out big time...

i dont know about a heart attack, but you should pick either coffee or redbull. i would think that would get expensive! and those coffee drinks are calorie packed! try to slowly take yourself off them, like have on coffee (try ask for nonfat milk instead) and 3 red bulls and every day just have less and less and you'll be off that in no time. but that really is not good for you.

Well the problem with these drinks is that they have lots of sugar and caff in them which is really not good for you. I would sugest that you replace those two cups of coffee in the morning with water. Water is sooo much better for you. I'm not sure how you would get over the addiction though...i've never had to deal with that....sorry. But do try to switch to water or even fruit juice as well. Good luck

That is one of the bad things with caffeine, it hasn't been around long enough to do sufficient testing on its effects over the years. It's been scientifically proven tho that most cancers are caused by too much of a single substance so thus if you bombard your body with caffeine, im sure you are increasing your risk for cancer. Also you are in sports, and since I do a lot of the same things, you shouldn't need those stimulants and a lot of the NCAA and other organizations are beginning to ban them. You better start getting off of them before you get kicked off your teams.

the best advise i can give you as a mother myself, is the only drink that it will never ever harm you and actually is good for you is WATER. now if you think the test is doll then add a slice of lemon or lime in it. if you need energy take vitamins B12 complex. all those other drinks that you drink you can drink them but not every day of your life. The other thing sweetie keep balance in your life as far as anything that you think off. NEVER EVER OVER DUE OR UNDER DUE
KEEP THE BALANCE
take care

Sounds like you got a serious caffine problem here. In large amounts, and especially over extended periods of time, caffeine can lead to a condition known as "caffeinism." Caffeinism usually combines "caffeine dependency" with a wide range of unpleasant physical and mental conditions including nervousness, irritability, anxiety, tremulousness, muscle twitching (hyperreflexia), insomnia, headaches, respiratory alkalosis and heart palpitations. Furthermore, because caffeine increases the production of stomach acid, high usage over time can lead to peptic ulcers, erosive esophagitis, and gastroesophageal reflux disease. However, since both "regular" and decaffeinated coffees have been shown to stimulate the gastric mucosa and increase stomach acid secretion, caffeine is probably not the sole component of coffee responsible.
There are four caffeine-induced psychiatric disorders recognized by the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fourth Edition: caffeine intoxication, caffeine-induced anxiety disorder, caffeine-induced sleep disorder, and caffeine-related disorder not otherwise specified (NOS).
Other side effects of caffeine overuse include: dizziness, fast heartbeat, blurred vision, drowsiness, dry mouth, flushed dry skin, increased urination, loss of appetite, nausea and stomachaches.
An acute overdose of caffeine, usually in excess of 400 milligrams (more than 3-4 cups of brewed coffee), can result in a state of central nervous system overstimulation called caffeine intoxication. Some people seeking caffeine intoxication resort to insufflation (snorting) of caffeine powder, usually finely crushed caffeine tablets. This induces a faster and more intense reaction. The symptoms of caffeine intoxication may include restlessness, nervousness, excitement, insomnia, flushing of the face, increased urination, gastrointestinal disturbance, muscle twitching, a rambling flow of thought and speech, irregular or rapid heart beat, and psychomotor agitation.
For your information, a cup of coffee, 240ml or 8oz. contains about 135mg of caffine and a can of redbull, 250ml or 8.2oz contains about 80mg. And it's worse if your drink espresso cuz with a 57ml or 2oz contains about 100 mg of caffine. You do the math.

a healthy diet with sufficient calories provides far more longer lasting energy than does any kind of energy drink.
