help I am having a skin issue?

If this has ever happend to you please tell me how you got rid of it. When I went to the dentist about 2-3 months ago the corners of my mouth got really dry. I put chapstick on thinking it would go away. I didn't. It just got bigger. I put lotion on it and medication for exima. As you probably guessed it didn't work.
Please help!! Thank you for your help.

try to see in the mirror if you have vesicles (clear fluid filled bubbles), herpes is unlikely to last this long though, otherwise take multivitamins for a few days especially those rich in B vitamins, see if that helps, see a doctor if symptoms persist or worsen or if new symptoms develope, good luck
