Well you can not practiced voodoo on someone. Vodou is a religion and not a magical system. You can however cast a spell or root someone using hoodoo. Hoodoo is African American folk magic. If you think you have been rooted you need to find an experienced Mambo, Hougan, or Rootdoctor to give you a reading and if necessary a help with your problem. The only way I know how to tell if from getting a reading from someone that knows about that type of magic.

There is a very ancient way to find out if someone put a voodoo curse on you. The first thing you need to do is go to the source of the one you believe cursed you. Then, and this is the tricky part, ask them.

I knew a woman whom a witch told her she put a curse on her. It sure seemed like she was under a curse. Eventually she died in her 30's. I wish I had been a Christian back then because I could have led her to Jesus and once you are God's child no pagan can put a curse or a spell or a vodoo hex on you.
Here's part of the Bible that shows that to be true. King Balak hired the prophet Balaam to curse God's people.
Numbers 22:6 Come now, curse this people for me, since they are too mighty for me. Perhaps I shall be able to defeat them and drive them from the land, for I know that he whom you bless is blessed, and he whom you curse is cursed."
Balaam tried but eventually he had to admit defeat.
Numbers 23:8 How can I curse whom God has not cursed? How can I denounce whom the LORD has not denounced?

Here- I can help you out.
there- I have created and placed upon you a hex shield. It works very well against most hexes and spells. I'm not sure if it works against voodoo- but it should. Let me know.

Don't assume someone has cast a spell on you. If you are truly unlucky -- or just keep making mistakes -- you might see about doing something about your luck -- or avoid making some of those risky mistakes.

Pray or spell for a dream or sign. It will lead you to understanding who has undue influence. It's up to you to give or take power from someone in that situation. Imagine reflecting their negativity and demand for control away from yourself and symbolically break the ties with them. If they gave you a gift (trinket, etc.), cleanse and destroy it or sell it so it becomes the property of someone else and loses its' power.

Just pray to God that if anyone has caused evil to focus its attention on you, that you be freed of it. Ask the Holy Spirit to come in and cleanse any evil spirits or curses away.
