I am a Methodist Christian, and I DO admit that the Bible is way out there! It's very crazy to assume that God would give up his only son, when I know few parents who would give up their children- even to save the world! But nevertheless it's my belief. I also believe that all religions tend to revert back to one thing- a divine creator, sustainer, and destroyer. Birth, life, and death. So in essence all religions are the same. So I don't think that other religions are ridiculously crazy ^_^

I don't have to believe every religion, but I acknowledge them and am fascinated by each religion I come across. I'm not a Satanist, but Satanism is a religion. As is Pagan. And I may be called a sinner because I practice magick and faery and angel arts, and tarot and crystals etc but Jesus was the biggest Wizard I know, for are not miracles simply powerful magick?

I think that an extremist of any religion is kinda cray though, and it's wrong to try and inflict your religion on someone who is unwilling to listen. While some religions teach immoral things, it is for the person themselves to decide what is too crazy for them to follow. As a Christian, I still love to learn about other cultures and religions!! ^_^

I find it so weird how some people team Christians and Muslims together. We share very little of the Muslim religion. The only thing that I know we share is Abraham and then we part company. Islam's leader Muhammad was far different than our leader Jesus Christ. Sounds to me like you have nothing interesting to say, so you like to bash the religion that North America was built on. It's like you are comparing the Girl Guides to the Black Panthers, not much there in common.

Having gone to caholic schools and a Jesuit College, I can say that Christian do NOT look at outher religions as crazy. The Vatican has often held conferences with the worlds religions. Unfortuantely, radical muslims do not tolerate other religions and have stated they want to convert the world to Islam. In Afghanastan prior to the end of the taliban, they blew up other religious symbols, 1500 yr of jBuddist carvings, Catholic Church's etc. So your premise is just wrong when it comes to Christians

As a Christian I think some Muslims are crazy, mainly the ones that want to kill us, but we are a lot alike, we both have all the prophets; Abraham, Moses, these people are prophets for both. Jesus, he is the savior to the Christians and a prophet to the Muslims. We both believe in one God, we just call him different names. So as far as I'm concerned we're practically the same.

I've always said that 2 + 2 = 4 and that it always will. That, according to all the other numbers who feel left out is "pretty far out there" and very exclusionary. It's also correct.

I don't think that Islam is ridiculously crazy. I think it's wrong, but far from crazy. Both Islam and Christianity are pretty far out there as you say. One of them also happens to be correct.

purely through fact "God" and "Allah" have an identical which means (granted for sake of argument) would not unavoidably mean that those words are used via Christians and Muslims to designate an identical person being. case in point, it might desire to be that the meant referent of "God" via Christians has diverse properties than the meant referent of "Allah" via Muslims, wherein case "God" and "Allah" would not designate an identical being, through fact no 2 issues which do no longer share all an identical properties are same to a minimum of one yet another. And as a count number of reality, Christians have self assurance that God is a Trinity, while Muslims have self assurance that Allah isn't a Trinity; so it could be a mistake to think of they are refering to an identical person.

I'm a Christian and I think its great that people believe in God and try to do the best they can in a relationship with Him. Obviously I think my faith is true or I wouldnt be a Christian. If everyone thinks what they believe or dont believe is correct thats their business. Normally believers in God are not rude.

to me yes, the religions r pretty out there.

but more to the point, all three big religions worship the same god, however they believe in different messiahs (jesus for christians, muhammad for muslims, and moses for jews) i think most people, if they put in the time and effort, would find that all three are more similar than they once thought.
