The Jews are, by and large, still waiting for their messiah to come.

As such, they are still living under the Law, and not under grace.

The Law never saved anyone.

No. They do not believe that Jesus was the son of god, nor that he died for their sins. They don't believe that Jesus was a prophet either. He is not a figure in the Jewish religion in any way.

They are still waiting for the messiah.

Jews don't believe that faith gets you 'saved' or into heaven, nor does the lack of faith have you burning in hell for all eternity. The religion is not structured around that fear.
The religion is more about life before death, than after it. However, there are rules and good deeds (Mitzvah's) that you should do when living that may get you into heaven. But- for most jews, the whole heaven thing is secondary.

Jews also believe that non-jews can get into heaven. I think there are only 6 basic rules that they need to follow to be good men. I don't know what they are- but I'm guessing that not putting them into ovens and slaughtering them by the millions is on the list.

When the catholic church, for hundreds of years, spread rumors of "blood libel" about the Jews. i.e. that the Jews were all essentially vampires... Did the Popes at the time get into heaven???

We do not believe he was a prophet, that he was a son of a god, or anything else.

Some of us believe he was a great rabbi. Others believe he has nothing to do with our religion and therefore should be ignored. Others believe he was the deceiver and should be treated as such, with his name ground to dust.

We believe in the concept of a Messiah but not the one of the Xtian concept--our Messiah will be a worldly leader, who will bring world peace, rebuild the Temple, and other things BEFORE HE DIES <---this is very important. He also has nothing to do with forgiving our sins.

Judaism also does not have a concept of original sin, so we do not believe we need to be "saved" from anything. So no, we are not looking for a savior to save us.

Morey is completely right. Only it is 7 rules, called the 7 Noahide Laws.

The majority of the Jewish Rabbi's in Jesus time did not believe him because of what he did to the Sabbath observation. For them, anyone who claim to be the son of God is committing blasphemy, and aside from what they were expecting a Messiah that will take them out of Rome's control like what Moses did in Egypt. As far as the learned Jews are concerned, there is no need for Jesus to die for their Sins. What the christian religion claim as the originals Sin of Adam and Eve, have already been cleared in the Book of Deuteronomy 24:16 and Ezekiel !8:3-26 (please refer to that)
In Matthew 15:24 Jesus said He only came for the lost sheep of Israel. So they have to believe that he was a their prophet. Since that Jesus did not fulfill his mission completely in the eyes of the Jews, there fore they are witing for the One to come. Even Jesus said He was sending his "counsellor" to give testimony about him.
Do not ask if the Jews are saved, be more concerned about yourself.

no, Jewish people do NOT believe that jesus "died for their sins"

Jewish people do not belive he was even a prophet.

Judaism does not need "a way back to God" as we already have one.
and Jewish people are not "still looking for their savior" as we already have a Savior. God himself.

Judaism needs no mediator.
Judaism already has its Savior.
Judaism needs no sacrifice for sins, as God forgives by will.

Jesus was not the messiah of Judaism, and what christianity believes jesus was, was not what the jewish messiah was even supposed to be or do.

There are many Jews who believe Christ was the Messiah and are saved.

As a people God chose the Jews so that His majesty and glory would be made manifest to the rest of the world. The first Christians were Jews, and the spread of Christianity in its early days was primarily due to messianic Jews. In fact, all the authors of the Christian bible, save one, were Jews who lived in the days before the Second Temple was destroyed in 70 CE.

But, like all other peoples, they (the Jewish people) are held to the same standards that God holds all peoples to. The Jew must acknowledge Christ as their means of reconciliation with a just God. If Jesus did not fulfill biblical prophecy, if he is not the promised Messiah of Israel, if he was not born of a virgin, if he did not die for the sins of the world and rise from the dead, if he is not coming back as King of all kings to rule and reign here forever- then he is the Messiah and Savior of nobody. He is a false prophet and the writers of the New Testament were either deceivers or deceived. In other words, if Christ is not the Messiah of the Jews then He is not the Savior of the Christians.

You need to view the criteria of salvation with some skepticism. People are imperfect and they interpret the Bible imperfectly with limited minds.

The Bible tells us that Jesus is involved with salvation, and you and I are not able to fill these shoes. Neither is anyone else. So interpretations by those who claim to speak for Jesus just damn them from their own tongues. There are thousands of pastors who would confirm a person's soul is destined for hall after five minutes of knowing them. I think God will do just fine for me.

Jews think Jesus was a fake--the Christ they were promised in the Torah was supposed to bring World Peace--Jesus didn't fulfill that prophesy --so they are still waiting for the REAL Christ to rock up--:]

The Hebrew God's chosen do not need to be saved. They wait for the Messiah born of a Hebrew woman of the line of David. This is a Bible truth.

Your "anointed" one was born of a Hebrew woman, but not of the line of David. He was a Magus and anointed by the Magi as one of their own.
